Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the Middle Part of a Planned Trilogy

And Wolfesntein III could bring back Mecha Hitler from the 1992 original! Last week we had the pleasure to speak at length with the Creative Director of Machine Games, Jens Matthies. A life long fan of id Software he began dreaming of game development as a child wanting to create immersive and cinematic worlds that players could explore. When Wolfenstein 3D rolled around in 1992 the promise of that dream began to look like a reality.

And now he leads development on the spiritual reboot of the franchise. Talking about the success of Wolfenstein: The New Order, Jens noted that he's always wanted to work on a sequel...

Because of course there's going to be a trilogy

I wish Wolfenstein and Doom would just die already.

Lighter9370d ago

They are old crappy franchises.

Paytaa370d ago

@Lighter9 Old, yes. Crappy? No. Can't speak for the new Wolfenstein as I haven't played them yet, but in Doom 2016's case, it's the best Doom yet and one of the best FPSs of all time.

Nope. Critics dont agree. And neither do many people whove played them.
Youre allowed to dislike and say whatever you deem fit. Doesnt make you automatically correct statistically or logically.

Wolfenstein reboot is great. Give it a go. Should be pretty cheap now

Buy Doom and go to hell, literally

CorndogBurglar370d ago

Why? Did they kick your dog or something?

Aside from them being great games, I realize thats subjective. But what are they doing to you that negatively affects you simply by existing?

Lighter9370d ago

I'm aloud to dislike games, right? It may not be popular opinion, but so what.

You want me to add something about blood, gore, demons, or killing Nazis?
Because that has nothing to do with it.

I've played them and it's just more of the same and these franchises are very old. Someone needs to put them out to pasture. (I think that's how you say it.)

CorndogBurglar370d ago

I never said you weren't allowed to dislike games and didn't even imply it.

I also don't care WHY you don't like them. I just think its kind of silly to wish them to die and go away forever when so many people enjoy them. You don't have to play them or like them. But how isnit hurting you that they exist?

Do you feel the same about all franchise from the 90's or earlier?
