Agents of Mayhem Sells an Estimated 67,000 Units First Week at Retail

The open world action adventure game from Volition and Deep Silver - Agents of Mayhem - sold 67,059 units first week at retail on consoles, according to VGChartz estimates.

Now here is a question, how much did the Denuvo drm help them in making sales? None. In fact, it ended up being a limitation for them. Here is this single player only game, but you need to be online to play it. They would have been infinitely better off leaving out Denuvo and making the game as mod friendly as possible.

Even without Denuvo the game would have been a hard sale. Which is a shame because the game is fun enough. Honestly, they should have used the Saints Row brand to sale the game. Called it Saints Row: Agents of Mayhem. The game is in the Saint's Row universe anyways. You can literally play as 3 Saint's Row characters.

I love Volition so I hope they are able to come back from this because I do what a Saints Row 5. Hopefully, they don't make the same mistakes they made with this game. Leave out the Denuvo, make the game coop, and push the Saints Row brand front and center.

Yakuza bombed ? That franchise is big in japan/asia and what they sell in the West is simply a bonus to sega. You're talking about a franchise that does like 500k or more during the first month ( yakuza 0 for example) in japan alone.

Only reason I heard of this game was due to N4G. No commercials, no ads, nothing remotely reminding me this game was coming out soon.

I feel bad for them because I like the idea and some of the characters but aside from that this game did ALOT wrong on top of being average and mostly generic. Bugs,Glitches,DRM, No Co op, No mission variety it should of been sold as a $20-$40 game when you have titles like R&C and Hellblade releasing at under $45 you can't blame people for passing on this at full price.

Not surprised. Honestly when I first heard about it I thought cool Im glad they are doing something. Saw a few trailers and I gave myself a face palm. Decided to rent it from gamestop to see how it was, I gave it 3 hours. I was bored shitless. I absolutely hate Hollywood (the character). The gameplay feels bland as hell. It takes itself to seriously while also trying to be funny but its just stupid. Maybe I'm just still waiting for Saints Row to come back to Saints Row. I just hope to got they dont introduce every minigame before you actually get to do a story.

Wasn't a fan of the characters and especially the low brow grade school humor. It killed the game when I played it.
