I really do not mind the frame rate being capped at 30... If it stays rock solid, then it will be playable no doubt. Glad to see them bring the game to the Switch. Very eager to get this game on the go!

If I played games on the go more I might consider this. But since I already own this on the PS4, the urge to double dip isn't that strong. Now for someone has never played the game before I recommend giving it a go.

30 FPS is not a major problem. I mean many games on PS4 Pro and/or Xbox One X are running 30 FPS. But it is a very fast Shooter. But I don't like a the full package with 30 FPS and a sup-540p resolution in the year 2017 nearing quickly 2018. SWITCH is a just not worth it in my opinion.

Was the sub 540p confirmed? I know I saw that Bethesda said it was 720p portable and 720p docked.

It won't be sub 540p at all. It's dynamic resolution I heard so it can go up or down when it needs.

I've never played doom 2016 so I will be getting this. I just don't know when, since it's coming out when sooooo many other games are going to be out.

It's a FANTASTIC game, so if one doesnt own a ps4 or xbone, it should not be missed if they have a switch. However, the visual presentation and framerate are HUGE components of the game. Yes, some games run at 30fps on current gen consoles...whats your point? Doom's central gameplay mechanics are built around ultra fast fps dodge/shoot/dodge/shoot. This will be greatly hampered by the switch 30fps.

Doom requires too much fast pace movement for me to be okay with 30fos.i was thinking of buying it on switch before because these fast pace shooters and quick arcade style dodge and pop shooters are great in bursts. I love playing duke nuke 3d on Vita vs ps3 and ps4. But sadly these sounds like too much of a compromise for me. For the graphics to take such a hit I need 60fps.either way if you still haven't played and don't have a choice for another version I'd say why not get. Amazing game definitely
