Rocket League creative director Corey Davis tells me. He's talking about cross-platform parties and "finally" is an appropriate word. This is maybe the most oft-requested feature from players, but it's not as simple as flipping a switch. There's a reason that hardly any other games have been able to implement it.
Rocket League’s tenth anniversary update will be split into three parts, bringing new limited-time game modes and rewards to claim.
Who would have thought that giving games away for free would be so lucrative?
New Rocket League leaks suggest that there'll be a Mortal Kombat crossover in this game soon, which could have Motor Kombat karts in it.
I'm all for cross-platform play, but this is an essential piece of the puzzle. The biggest reason to care about cross-plat is because you can play with friends on other platforms, but without the social tools to enable you to find and speak with them it is almost worthless.
Hopefully Sony/MS/Nintendo/EA etc are having the necessary discussions to make this a reality on a wide scale. Ideally a full collaborative solution, and not just a policy that allows the devs to create and host their own tools.
