Xbox One X will launch this coming November, and according to Ubisoft, the Xbox One X version of Assassin's Creed Origins will be the best, or most beautiful, version.
Well it better be as it's 100$ more expensive Also ubisoft has a marketing deal with the MS so ofcorse they boast it. It's a no Brainer it looks better, but I want to know how well the fps holds up. I've seen No one say anything about it but I've seen games running and frames dropping... just like the pro has had this issue, the xbox x may have it as well.
It's more expensive, and comes out a year later. People don't seem to realize that. What's getting annoying though, is instead of new game announcements or anything important, we keep getting articles that seem more like promo for the XboxOneX than actual news.
So, I want to know how they were able to cripple there PC version so much that substantially more powerful rigs don't add up? And, does Microsoft consider Steam the PC platform?
It's more expensive for a reason. You make it sound like it's $100 more but the same power as the Pro. This $100 and a year later is something a preteen would use as an argument. It's very obvious why the X more money and to deny that with a dumb off the cuff remark is plain old fanboy bollocks
I really can't wait for this console to come out just so the PS4 can outsell it. I'm gonna enjoy reading the comments and excuses. All these Xbox fanatics that think power is the end all be all and think that power alone can make the Xbox One start outselling the PS4 are in for a rude awakening. Hell, look at how well the Switch is doing. The Switch is living proof that power isn't the end all be all and that games sell consoles and are more important than power.
dude you make it seem like in 2017 100 dollars is a huge difference. its not, if as a gamer its a massive deal then maybe people shouldnt be gamin because gaming is expensive overall. actually if you watch digital foundry you would see the fps is solid as a rock
Calm down Lil homie...I wasn't arguing. I was just stating the facts. Just as we expect pc to have better looking versions of game's you'd do the same for xbox x. Nobody expect's the pro to have better resolution or even on par. The pro has better looking and higher profile goty lever exclusives but the xbox x will have a slightly better resolution. Even in the case off assassin's creed it's dynamic. So relax it's not huge that the higher priced and more powerful platform has the better games. It's not like 4 years ago when the highest costing console has the lower performance in its games. This is how it should be....now you see where your extra 100 buck's went to, no matter how small the advantage is. My only question is will the fps hold up since all we've been hearing is 6tf,4k and 4kassets....fps are just as important. ..or even more important so I hope that holds up as well. Keep you pants on bro....relax
@Badboyc How does the sells of the X1X change the fact the the X1X is more powerful? Fanboy logic can be confusing. From all reports games run better and look better on X1X how will sales effect the gaming experience? You have a choice to buy an X1X or not. Cheers
@Kingthrash360 "Also ubisoft has a marketing deal with the MS so ofcorse they boast it."
Is Activision boasting about Call of Duty looking the best on the PS4 Pro? The fact is every game moving forward will likely be the best played on the XB1X (or high end PC) so if this doesn't interest you then I'm not sure why you need to respond like you did.
Well, you know Xbox fans, they're all about the hardware now instead of games. They only want the best "console hardware" though, not the best of what's available. The goalpost has certainly moved to a bizarre position. Another thing I realized. When the PS4 Pro was coming out, you'd hear a lot of PS4 owners saying they were gonna buy it, but there were also a lot saying they were gonna stick with the original PS4, at least for the time being. With X, it seems like every single Xbox "fan" is upgrading. This is a bit weird to me, considering that only 15% of the population has 4k TVs, yet apparently 100% of Xbox "fans" have them. Maybe they just really like downsampling? But for $500? I dunno. It's all very interesting to me.
@bluefox755 No different than all the PlayStation fans having a gaming PC to play all the Xbox games on, while at the same time stating that the Xbox has no games.
But seriously let's use logic here, the reason why there was reservation with the pro is because Sony didn't really push it, and the gains from the upgrade were not necessarily seen as being that big.... Heck, you got an upgraded 4K console that can't even play 4K Blu-ray. On the other hand the X appears to be a major upgrade from it's base unit. So as you see, the goal post didn't necessarily change, your seat and depth perception did. Do you need a 4K TV to experience gains in frame rate? I think not.
Kingthrash360, you're the epitome of the phrase 'misery loves company'. Does it really hurt you so much that the Xbox One X version will be the best looking version that you have to hope that both versions don't maintain a stable frame rate for the sake of the Pro to not appear too inferior. That's ridiculous. It contradicts your argument that the $100 more expensive console should be better. Only $100 more? I keep seeing guys like you trying to deter people by using that tired argument, but you guys need a reality check. The advantage of the X over the Pro equate to more than $100. If someone doesn't have $500 to buy the Xbox One X, then I'm sure they don't have $400 to buy a Pro. Both are iterative options that aren't forced on the market. Keyword is options.
@bluefox755 "Well, you know Xbox fans, they're all about the hardware now instead of games. They only want the best "console hardware" though, not the best of what's available."
So we didn't go through this when the PS4 and Xbox One first came out and seen games that were better performing on the PS4 and people talking about it?
"The goalpost has certainly moved to a bizarre position"
It sure has! Just like how now nobody cares about crossplay or BC.
"Another thing I realized. Of course it's interesting to you and so many others it seems. That's because a lot of you don't like to hear any positive news about the Xbox brand and certainly don't like having the Xbox be better than the PS4 at anything. This is why the Xbox versus Playstation feud still goes on to this day.
We all know moving forward any analysis that happens which depicts the XB1X being better than the PS4 Pro is going to be met with one of the following responses. One will be to try and change the discussion to exclusives and the other will be the differences are minimal and don't matter much.
"So we didn't go through this when the PS4 and Xbox One first came out and seen games that were better performing on the PS4 and people talking about it?"
That was at the start of a generation proper, when the 1080p standard was set before the generation even began, and that XB1 was struggling with as a dedicated home console that MS was defending with nonsense things like the cloud and DX12, and having their desperate executive employees come on to NeoGAF to say "we're not losing 30% advantage to Sony". Over the years, the arguments about PS4 vs. XB1 resolution and power has applied to the most consoles sold to consumers so is more relevant a case for argument and of importance. What you are doing here is trying to use false equivalence in comparing a generation's majority sold, to a mid/end-generation upgrade that is nothing short of niche and will sell a small fraction of any console this generation, especially since its perks are not aligned with any kind of established set standard in households across the nation. You know this to be true, but prefer to be disingenuous. ---
"It sure has! Just like how now nobody cares about crossplay or BC. "
Just look at this guy... the crossplay situation on PS4 is exactly the same as it was on PS3. Here's you pretending otherwise just because you're so anxious to drag Sony through the mud about something that doesn't even affect you, yet Microsoft decisions have affected the platform you actually game on... PC. Sony chooses not to support cross-play on other consoles, in the same way that MS denies its own customers cross-play between competing services on their first-party games on PC. You care to continue creating excuses as to why that's okay for MS but not for Sony.
"That's because a lot of you don't like to hear any positive news about the Xbox brand and certainly don't like having the Xbox be better than the PS4 at anything."
Putting words into people's mouths and making up fantasies about what they think really is something you've mastered, huh? ---
"This is why the Xbox versus Playstation feud still goes on to this day."
The very feud that you exacerbate with your thinly veiled fanboyism that has already been ripped clean away by your well established and proven hypocrisy, agenda and recorded trolling on PS4 articles. The very console war that you excitedly contribute to is the same one you condemn. That's more than curious, it's damning. ---
"One will be to try and change the discussion to exclusives and the other will be the differences are minimal and don't matter much."
In regards to exclusives, you conveniently began your agenda to downplay their importance once Microsoft announced all their games would be going to PC. You also lied about Sony downsizing their first-party studios and said nothing for a long time when Microsoft completely downsized their first-party by closing about 8 of their studios and canceling projects at once. Not really wise to take your word about exclusive games seriously now, is it? Even more so, Nintendo Switch is selling so well this year due to its amazing exclusive games lineup and the same can be said for exclusive games on PS4 this year. Nintendo fans will likely be saying the same stuff about exclusives and you won't approach them about it because you only bother representing the side that condemns Sony and its fans. I don't really think it's any surprise that you're trying your best to save face on that exclusives argument because you're trying to damage control Xbox One having next to none, and very few remarkable ones at that. Exclusive games have always been a huge talking point in the console space, especially over the past 2 generations. It certainly was a huge deal to Xbox fanboys at the start of this generation. I'm not sure why you think that bringing up exclusives as a counter point is anything to be shocked about in all honesty, because it really calls into question Microsoft's priorities. In regards to differences in power, your friend gangsta_red called the differences between PS4 and XB1 "negligible". Hope here's there to back you up when you need him. 😉
I took you for a PC fanboy because you showcased compulsive obsession in countless console related articles. Turns out that I was wrong, you're just a Microsoft nut.
@bluefox you and your friends keep saying no games but in reality xbox and ps4 play over 95% of the same games except for there exclusives...the only thing thats changed is x1x plays those 95% of games better.
and please don't act like sony fans haven't been bashing the xb1 for the past 3 yrs over being under powered are you forgetting all the 720 & 900p comments lol well the shoe is on the other foot now how's it smell.
we have no problem waiting why should you...will have the best version of aaa console games to keep us occupied and fully in joy our exclusives as they release.
Everybody knows that Ubisoft will talk up a storm on this version will be the best looking etc.etc. whilst showing screenshots of high definition graphics and when the game launches, the graphics and gameplay gets downgraded. Remember The Division and Watch Dogs? Don't yet count your chickens yet.
So basically another article about an xbox one x game looking better than the ps4 pro and it's another comment section full of salty ps4 fanboys. We all know ps4 is selling well and will continue to sell well and we all know ps4 has some great exclusives like horizon zero dawn but that's not what this article is about but i suppose they have to change the topic in order to damage control. The simple fact is 99% of games will look better on xbox one x so either deal with it or buy an xbox one x.
"I think with Xbox One X, its the most beautiful version we have because it’s rendering at a high resolution. We have more RAM to play with. There’s a lot more tools at our disposal to showcase our creative work,” Ismail said."
"The experience of the game is the same across all of the different platforms. We try to make sure the game shines on every platform the best it can. Having said that, the Xbox One X version is absolutely the most beautiful version,” Ismail said."
Idk, that's a pretty general statement, I'm sure the Xbox 1 X will be the best console version, and it should be, but to say it's the best version they made, is pretty sad, seeing the potential PC's have.
I appreciate that but it’s not uncommon for a multiplat game to neglect discussing the PC build, I’m sure as an N4G user you’ve seen it many, many times. At the very least it they include some form of caveat (high end, enthusiast etc).
The big studios (console being their bread and butter) tend to shy away from promising something they can’t guarantee in respect to someone with onboard GPU (or a weak system) making a fuss when the game runs like crap after labelling it the ‘best version’.
Everyone with a high end PC knows they get the best results visually (or even opt for lower settings higher FPS). Console gamers tend to need the reassurance as they lack the control/option (no offence to anyone intended).
But assassins creed on the Xbox one x is the Xbox one version... So what you said will be the same... Depending on which console you have, you will have the worst version or the best version. The core of the game is an Xbox game... they just put a lot of make up on it.
So he says something pro Xbox and he's lying but guess had he said the same for PS he wouldn't be lying ? How about just except the fact that most games will look better on Xbox X
if you want best version, you play PC. if you want console best version,it comes in PS5 then in PS6 and so on...it is circle of life of console.
but SillygameAr says right,it is more of the promo then actual news, everyone knows that xbox x going to look better now.why they have a needs to repeat that 100 times, what is wrong with them, are they dumb?or stupid? in the end of the day, game will go down or rise up because of gameplay, story, and other important thing, not the graphics it self.
Same reason we see article after article about sony exclusives. Who the hell cares, just ignore them, you sound bitter that sony doesn't have the best. I think the game is gonna suck personally.
I have hope yet. The series is getting stale, but they've made a lot of changes, and the setting looks cool as all hell. If they can stray from their boring game formula from the last few years, they may have something special. But in reality, yeah it's probably gonna suck.
Boy are you really that desperate by saying that if people want to play the best console version that they should wait years and years just to play a game that releases this year
I think we can all agree the Xbox One X version of every third party title will look better on the Xbox One X. If anyone disagrees, besides hitting the disagree button, let's engage in a great comment thread conversation. That would be great to see for once on N4g.
Not every , they have to program it that way , so there are things they can do with Pro thst makes them closer than people believe. So some will be but definitely not every
Microsoft completely change the architecture of the Xbox one to match the one of the PS4 for the Xbox one x.... I'm not sure why everyone is expecting them to look drastically different from the Pro... It will probably look better, but in a year or two when they notice the one x hasn't sold much they won't bother pushing past the Pro unfortunately....
The one x is a ps4 with a Xbox skin with more ram... Let's not forget this. It's Microsoft lol! They haven't stuck a landing all generation and people are expecting them this time around is the definition of insanity
The PS4 and Xbox One have had the same architecture since 2013 when they released. Both use custom Jaguar APU's, a Blu-ray drive, HDD and plastic box to house them. The only thing that really separated them was the RAM they used. Windows 10 is what Microsoft wants devs to target. If they do this, they make an optimized game for PC, Xbox One and Xbox One X at the same time since the shared platform is Windows which scales across different hardware pretty easily. With PS4, games need to be upgraded and then patched for Pro support. It's not "hard", but it is more time consuming and less cost effective which is why Pro support is hit or miss. Not to mention Sony has some parity clauses that restrict what Pro can do.
Depends on the time the developer and publisher put into the different versions. Sometimes, the bare minimum is done to support the mid-gens, because that's all the console makers require, and the publishers don't want to expend resources on doing more if they don't see the real benefit.
This will be the trend and most gamers will be interested to see the one x version more than any other console version, it will set the console standard for the next 3 years.
Xbox Scorpio..n wins! Fatality!
So, I guess that means a shitty PC port then?
Surely the PC version will be the best. But if he's specifically talking about the console version then yeah I'd agree with him.
😂😂😂 He is lying for XBX users ou PC users. Pick one.
if you want best version, you play PC.
