If more people took a look inside their PC and saw how simple the layout is, maybe they could stop getting ripped off by services such as the Geek Squad. Then again, I'm glad they don't because doing PC repairs on the side has proven to be a great way to pay for my games/gas.

True. I don't think building a computer and setting it up has ever been easier, even with the massive range of hardware you can buy. If you got a buddy that can stand by your side and knows what they're doing, you can pretty much learn how to build a PC in a day.

It's really not that difficult. You just have to make sure all the connectors go in the right spots, and that the parts you are buying are compatible with one another.

Though, I'd have to say, the most annoying thing about building PC's is the cable management...

i also taught myself. its weird looking back.

People save your hard earned cash because these companies could not give a $%!? and even there support lines are very basic.

they will put a pill out crap together a call it High End hoping you don't have a clue.

i built my own and saved about $800

32" LCD HDTV - had this before i built this system its great for my consoles and TV

Nice cpu and gpu. I have to admit that working on pc's are easy and I do second the comment on vista. It is not a bad os and is pretty cool.

Hell yeah I just built my own 4850 platform pc and saved over $700 compared to what regular brands would have costed.
