Tech2 writes: "Among all the umpteen strategy games out there, only a few cater to those who prefer co-op rather than all-out competitive multiplayer gaming. Warcraft III had a couple of 'scenario'-styled maps that were designed ground up for cooperative play, all of which grew really popular (Enfo's Team survival, X Hero Siege and all the gazillion tower defense maps, for instance). But they were all developed by third parties or the community, and rarely has any real-time strategy game been made whose multiplayer focus is on PvE and not PvP. EA Phenomic hopes to change that with its upcoming title – BattleForge."
Theshigen writes "Battleforge was a rather novel idea. It combined collectable card game mechanics with real-time strategy, something new and fresh back in 2009. It's been re-released today as Skylords Reborn. A fan-made project that's made the gamer, completely free."
