It actually is very good, I was playing with an Xbox controller and doing well in crucible.

I can't get the hang of keyboard and mouse which is the only thing stopping me pre ordering. :(

How much of an advantage is a mouse for shooters? Don't wanna be raging because I get turned on.

Edit: was running at a constant 60fps 1080p with a gtx 770 btw. Well optimized game.

I'd say eventually you'll get annihilated if you stick to the controller, the skill gap will only widen going forward. I'd try to get used to it now, eventually you'll be glad you did. It helps to have a mouse with several buttons on it, that way you can split the hotkeys between the mouse and keyboard.

As an example, my friend played Destiny 1 a lot and I didn't because I'm a PC gamer, pretty much every time we do a Firestrike together in the beta I get twice as many kills as him, and I'm not all that good tbh.

you should be fine with a controller in this game. People use controllers all the time in black ops 3 and do fine, the auto-aim evens things out.

I wish it was more of a single player RPG game than an MMO..

I already maxed out a free character just to see how far you can go, and it's not very far. They call it free to play, but it's more like a demo, which are free in the first place.
