PS4 and Switch get all the Japanese support i need, the xbx will nvr receive that type of support, not unless MS doles out enough money to get a game or two. For right now the system isnt worth the asking price until I see something that truly wows me into a purchase.

FallenAngel19842448d ago

I still don't see the situation with Japanese developers changing for the better with Xbox One

goken2447d ago

in fact i think it would change for the worst.
probably would get better sales developing for the discounitued ps3 rather than the x1

Liqu1d2447d ago

They might be able to persuade Japanese developers to give Xbox a second chance but if the sales end up being bad then they'll just drop support again.

iDadio2447d ago

Lower userbase that are exponentially more dudebro so yeah the situation with Eastern developers is never going to change on the platform.

rainslacker2447d ago

I can see them trying again by signing some stuff up for next gen, or if they shift the lowest denominator to the X1X, then it might get some stuff. But for the foreseeable future, Japanese gaming on Xbox isn't going to be much to write home about beyond the bigger multi-plat titles. Anyone more into Otaku style games has long since looked elsewhere for their gaming needs.

FallenAngel19842447d ago

@ Liquid

Second chance? You know how many chances the Xbox brand has already had in trying to appeal to Japanese gamers and people who like Japanese content?

Greenberg can bs all he wants.
but reality says: first party will be minimum, maybe even touch and go for a new halo or gears
Japanese games would be close to non-existent, given the abysmal sales of the x1 in Japan

Touch and go for the new halo, ha ha ha ha

codswallop at its finest, Halo 6 will be released without a shadow of a doubt and the halo universe is one the biggest games series on xbox to date.

No more talk, release the exclusives and thats all

C-H-E-F2447d ago

"Frankly, we have so many games right now. We have, over the next twelve months, so many big exclusives. We’re the only console where you can play Forza Motorsport 7, Cuphead, Super Lucky’s Tale and PUBG, just this Holiday."

How the HECK do you say "we have so many games right now, and in that next breath you name PUBG which is a third party TIMED exclusive... REALLY?? The question was about first party titles coming.... sooooo you lying huh? lOl talking about you have games, we know you aint got the games sway.

rainslacker2447d ago (Edited 2447d ago )

In that quote, he only named 2 big exclusives. Forza, and then the PUBG which is a timed exclusive, which isn't even exclusive when it releases...although is a console exclusive I guess. Cuphead and SLT I wouldn't consider big. CD3 and SoT are biggish, for the next 12 months, but hardly a compelling way to sell the status of your exclusive releases.

I look at that list and think it's about akin to Sony releasing something like GT:S, then trying to say how great they are because they have Hot Shots Golf, Hellblade, and Hohokum. Sure, some good games, but not exactly the kinds of releases people are asking about when they talk about exclusives.

Xbox No Longer Has Its Head In The Game

Microsoft & Xbox have shut down Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks to lay off more workers, insinuating that they're not in the game anymore.

XiNatsuDragnel8h ago

They're headless for a long time because closing tango isn't exactly a good move

MICROSOFT DEFENSE FORCE IS A GO

Tacoboto3h ago

Especially for Microsoft, when Booty pretty much said they didn't know how to handle that many studios.

Why even make the acquisition then.

-Foxtrot2h ago

Didn’t they make the swipe for Bethesda when Sony wanted like 6 months exclusiveness for Starfield

It’s like…chill, you got Rise of the Tomb Raider for a year.

romulus232h ago

Do they always come with senseless cuts becasue that's exactly what cutting Tango was, senseless.

H94h ago

Everyone's acting now that game companies care about games and Xbox is committing the Ultimate betrayal, they are all like this and you have just been quiet about it for far too long

Nuclearmoon3h ago

I wonder if Microsoft do pull out of the console market that it might open the door for valve to relaunch the Steambox. Competition is good for the industry but Microsoft don't even seem to be trying anymore.

“Your game has won some pretty significant awards and is a show piece for where we want to go in the future.”

1 hour later.

“We’re gonna have to let you go. You can’t cover our 100 billion dollar acquisition. Oh and take your awards too 👍🏾”

Former Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider pours scorn on EA's AI dreams.

"They want you to believe the devs under them are super stoked to work generative AI into their processes," continued Gaider, "but I assure you what they took as excitement was really a veiled wail of despair not unlike the time that team was informed of their new 'really cool' live service mandate.".

I think anyone with some common sense knew this, im glad i don't support their games anymore, what a sh!t company.

Friends don’t let friends buy EA or Ubisoft.

I said this yesterday. AI isn't what we want when it comes to crafting artistry. Alas, these soulless corporate morons don't care about their work, only about cutting corners as much as possible.
