Splatoon 2 has in-game voice chat available… for LAN parties

Is that really a compliment? Even Dreamcast is capable of that.

And Vita feature party chat while NS does not

If you're at a LAN party, it's easier to just talk to the people that are in the same room as you rather than try to use a headset.

This is why no one should pay for Nintendo Online. Ninty is marketing an online service without any online features! No voice chat, no game lobbies? These are mandatory for a game company to call online service "online service". What Nintendo is offering is "offline service" and they should be sued for false marketing.

With Nintendo's logic, I could sell cell phones with no cellular service and charge $30 a month for it, just like my competition does. If any users complain, I can tell them to use the wifi to connect to a tower of their choice. Because that's exactly what's going on when you have to use your own third party device to access game lobbies for Nintendo Online.

Its for LAN use when used in E sports. Obviously you swouldnt use it in a home setting.

Yup if the Vita does voice chat flawlessly i don't see wts stopping the switch besides Nintendo being Nintendo

Public chat toxicity must have really scared Nintendo off of the concept of enabling onine VC.
Sad, and I hope they change their stance on this soon.

For the love of god, Nintendo, just enable this by default. Your app does not work well at all, and is not intuitive in any way. What pisses me off even more is that after all the negative feedback, the online app still hasn't received a single update.
