One of the biggest dreams for gamers, generation after generation, has been the idea of cross- platform play. Each and every gamer can think back to at least one conversation in the schoolyard centered around how awesome it would be if consoles could connect and play together, regardless of brand. That is, of course, after the endless talks about that one kid’s uncle who worked at Nintendo.
MonsterVine: "Shuffle Tactics from Club Sandwich struggles to balance difficulty with fairness, leading to an experience more frustrating than fun, even with accessibility options turned on."
Publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing shared new details and a trailer of the upcoming racing simulator Endurance Motorsport Series.
MonsterVine: "Lex Imperialis expands Rogue Trader with a gripping Arbites storyline, morally complex choices, and the standout companion Solomorne Anthar. A must-play for 40K fans."
PS4 cross platform play is already happening. For example Dragon Quest X will have crossplay across Wii U, PC, PS4 & NS.
In the next generation, it will be.
I'm sure MS is happy just raking in the Minecraft $$ from allowing all platforms. I can't think of a game that Sony has put on Xbox. Not to mention it's cross platform on basically eveything (my toaster probably supports it) but PS4. And Sony is the one making the decision.
Yet no one talking about how mircrosoft refusing XIV since last gen.
It's because cross platform play has more benefit, on the sales front, for the lesser audience. Sony doing cross play will deter potential PS4 adopters, who only have interest in playing games like Minecraft. MS had the same mentality with the 360.
Plus, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't MS requiring Switch users to create XBL accounts to be able to play with Xbox players?
