EVO Is Getting Crowded

EVO, the biggest fighting game event of the year has a problem. There are too many good fighting games available.

Good read. I remember how MVC2 was still popular years after its release. Not too sure if Infinite will take the billing next EVO, but I have a feeling people will still be playing UMVC3.

Thanks! Infinite will definitely be on the roster but the real question is if Dragon Ball FighterZ impacts the entry numbers.

How about EVO divided into two tournaments per year with 6 or 9 games each?

EVO added a Japanese event but it does not really mix up the game roster. CEO in South Florida has started mixing up their events by adding themes and monthly tournaments. Maybe they are afraid EVO will lose it's importance by adding more events.
