Unity is excited to announce that support for Xbox One X is available now.
Marathon was slated to launch on Sept. 23, 2025 across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, but Bungie will share the new release date in the fall.
If they were absolutely certain about the quality of Marathon, then they had not delayed it just now.
So they've basically just confirmed what everyone, well, a lot of people saw: Marathon is not ready yet, still no soul to be seen.

lol....MS is really trying a lot to make it like it is a new console.....ohhh well just bring good games and i will get one if not...i will just stick with mt ps4 pro and pc =)
Their engine was never optimised properly for the GDDR5 of PS4 so far this gen. Why would this suddenly change when a new GDDR5 console with currently 0% install base compared to PS4 comes along?
The more support the better. The Big name developers, all already have their engines supporting the X. Bethesda, EA , Ubi, Code Master... have all they coming games supporting the X enhancements. They all really like system due to the results and how easy it is to achieve those results.
Having all these other popular engines support it, means that even small developers will have and easier time getting stellar performance out of the X. So this is great for people like me who play mostly 3rd party on Xbox.
"Unity is excited to announce that support for Xbox One X is available now. Developers will be able to create projects that can be deployed seamlessly to any member of the Xbox One family: Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Taking advantage of the increased power and 4K HDR output of the Xbox One X is as easy as changing some quality settings."
As far as I can see PS4 Pro along with PS4 didn't receive an update with the same features. Unity effectively making Xbox One X the target.
Looking good, the X Is looking real good.
