Destiny 2 – Official Competitive Multiplayer Trailer

Enter the Crucible in Destiny 2 and put your skills to the test in 4v4 competitive multiplayer action.

trying to hard, chances are low it will be anywhere close to this level of action with only 4v4

Weeblordbad2444d ago

Ummm there was plenty of concentrated action in D1 with 4v4, but you know keep beating that drum like it means anything. The maps are fairly concentrated, the mobility and the weapons also mean you're never far from the objective or your teammates.

NewMonday2444d ago

Ummm D1 didn't have 4v4

Weeblordbad2443d ago

Okay so it was 3v3 or 6v6. Again, I never had issues being in the fight you design around these things.

6v6 was fine loved it

3v3 was a lame bore fest that felt like a job not a fun game

loved Iron Banner

hated ToOsiris, got Flawless twice but the processes was not fun at all, I just wanted the special weapons.

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was a trailer for some DLC for the first game.

Having recently gotten back into playing Halo and Gears of War, two games that have level playing field in competitive mp. I simply do not find the appeal of Destiny 2 PvP, after playing the beta. I think the game will get more and more imbalanced as content gets added to it. Also I wasn't impressive the game's technical standing in PvP.

Destiny 2 is the only PvP game, this gen that I have played, that is is 30 FPS. I don't see why, and how, the PvP, especially when 4v4, is only 30fps. Sure the CPUs on the XB1 & PS4 are that great, but games like Overwatch, Halo 5, Gears of War 4, BF1 (TDM) and Battlefront all manage to run at (or near) 60fps in PvP.

That is why Im definitely opting for the PC version. Going to check out the beta and decide.

Damage and health is flattened for the MP, what you lose when people have exotics is the small abilities or things that the weapon does. Thorn and Gjallarhorn are two examples of weapons that DO more than the non exotics but when it comes to bullet for bullet damage versus a regular hand cannon or RL they end up even. Destiny is very much about managing the heavy weapon ammo drops, if you do that someone with a Gjallarhorn is useless. If you don't know your limits health wise vs Thorn you're going to die a lot to the weapons DOT, if you know when to duck out the DOT is only a problem because it keeps your health/shields from regenerating. The PVP also operates under the assumption that it's not the ONLY thing you're doing, there is no reason a Destiny player isn't constantly improving their weapons/gear.

The 30fps I agree with, it should be 60fps. The only thing I'll give Destiny credit for is it doesn't suffer the visual degrade in MP that the other games suffer in MP. Notably Gears 4, Halo 5 and BF1.

The Destiny 2 beta PvP to me, didn't really look better than Halo 5 slayer. Destiny 2, seemed to have better AA, and particles, but gun and character models in Halo 5 mp looked better to me. Gears of War 4, and BF1 mp looked better than the Destiny 2 beta pvp in my opinion also.

10 Years Later, Bungie STILL Hasn't Improved Warlock Mobility in Destiny 2

Warlocks in Destiny 2 are great for loads of things. Healing? We got that. Awesome PvE action? Sure! Warlock Mobility? Severely lacking.

I already maxed out a free character just to see how far you can go, and it's not very far. They call it free to play, but it's more like a demo, which are free in the first place.
