Looking forward, I wished SEGA did this

Something we'll be seeing on that new Atari box perhaps?

NullPointer2501d ago

It's Jeff Minter doing it, guaranteed to be excellent!

brianunfried2501d ago (Edited 2501d ago )

Good to hear that Jeff Minter is doing it. So are they just renaming TxK and releasing it as Tempest 4000? I was really bummed out when Atari blocked the release of TxK on consoles.

People really do owe it to themselves to play the original Quake.
I first played 3, which was all multiplayer focused and I love it to this day.
Played 2, thought the campaign sucked, then never cared to play the original
When the original ended up on Gamepass I just gave it a shot and it's definitely one of the best shooters of the 90s, as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if they are going to add QUAKE 2 and QUAKE 4 for current gen consoles on Thursday when QUAKECON starts?

MadLad667d ago

I'd hope so.
Like I said, wasn't a fan of Quake 2, but Quake 4 was one of my favorite shooters on 360.
I have it on PC, but it's one of those games you need to jump through hoops to get running properly on modern hardware.
It plays, but all the lighting and shadowing is gone, and the textures are basically nothing.

Some very good games in this sale!
