Community Inc is an interesting village sim that made a few too many tedious design decisions. It has some good ideas, but it all gets bogged down by how much micromanaging is needed to succeed. Never before have so many elf-like creatures caused so much chaos.
1RBC: The state of the video game industry is such that games are more often bought based upon their underlying concept than their actual execution of said concept- it's why we have so many disappointments in Steam Early Access right now, but it's also how some really interesting and innovative indie games have found their audiences. I feel that this must be said outright: Community Inc is not finished. Right now on Steam, the game lacks the Early Access banner, and this is coverage of the game's version 1.0.12- I honestly think that the developers have made a huge mistakes in labeling this game as ready for sale.
1RBC: This has been quite the week for game news- first off, Valve's Steam service has been blocked for users in Malaysia in the wake of a controversial game's latest update, a pretty big update came to Robot Roller Derby Disco Dodgeball, Destiny 2 raised eyebrows with some questionable microtransactions and Ubisoft has managed to stave off Vivendi- how much longer can the Guillemot family hold onto the company? All this and more on this week's episode of 1RBC Gaming Weekly.
