Why the 3DS gaming system has been too successful for Nintendo to kill

To casual observers, the death knell for Nintendo's 3DS family of devices should have been the release of the Switch this past March.

It pretty much already is when rn3ds has been put out of production in JP..

Also once a Pokemon hits Switch, it is done.

it's done when 3DS no longer generate profit.

Pokemon Switch isn't gonna kill the 3DS because we dont know when Poke Bank will come to Switch to transfer our Pokemon to the new games. 3DS Pokemon games will still be used for such.

its already killed, nintendo main teams already move to Switch, only people still making games for the 3ds are the other teams nintendo have, look at oasis and new mii game for the 3ds, this is what the 3ds will be getting for the next 2 years

Fire Emblem team already said they not making any more 3ds games, and pokemon team said ultra sun and moon for 3ds is last for the 3ds......next mainline pokemon is coming to the Switch

anyone who think nintendo will keep the 3ds alive just being delusional, Nintendo doing same thing they always do, after the Nintendo DS came out, they went and made Gameboy Micro, and what happen, even with the gameboy micro after a year they stop make games for the gameboy line and focus on the DS..........

same situation again repeat itself, this time Nintendo made the 2DS XL after the Switch came out, just like they did with Gameboy Micro

While I love my New 3DS XL and have enjoyed the games on it this gen even above most console and pc games. The time has come that Nintendo needs to focus solely on the Nintendo Switch.

Locomoto Review - Thumb Culture

"Locomoto is an incredibly cute and cosy adventure sim involving a train. Published by THQ Nordic and released on the Nintendo, I know, like me, you were hoping for a Nintendo Switch 2 version. But don’t worry, if you do own a shiny new Nintendo Switch 2, the game runs perfectly fine on there." Stu @ Thumb Culture
