I'm glad MS are taking cross network more seriously now. They were behind on that front previously but now are pushing for it like they should have day one. Also game pass seems to actually be improving really well too. They have done well with the BC library, game pass and I hope cross network play grows too.

Microsoft seriously needs to pump out those Halos and Gears of Wars in order to stay in the game arms race.

A lack of cross-platform play between games on Windows 10 Store and Steam versions of the same PC games seem not to be though, alarm bells ringing especially loud as Microsoft have chosen to purposefully deprive PC gamers from cross-play with their very own first-party games, and after all the negative PR they aimed at Sony for lacking in cross-play and everything. Seems like MS has their own preferences in which platforms or services they wish to integrate with just like Sony is okay with PC and PlayStation cross-play but not other consoles. No wonder he gave such a simplistic about it being a developer choice. They don't want people drawing attention to these corporate double standards.

I'm a big supporter of the Windows store Cross buy initiative, it's really great not having to make a choice between my PC friends list and my console based one to decide where I'm going to play the game. What I'm not okay with is things like Infinite Warfare only being connected to other Windows Store buyers of the game, essentially segregating those players no consumer wins in that situation. Not to mention it defeats a huge advantage the Windows based PC's have where the community for games don't suffer any real segregation, the game is the game it shouldn't matter where it came from they should all operate the same.

GFWL was included with steam games in the past, there is no reason the game can't simply ask you to log in to a windows account. Simply limit functionality for those who aren't gold members but are playing on the PC, this double standard didn't hurt them with GFWL when PC gamers rejected it before. Especially seeing as how they offer Games with Gold, it would be even easier for them.

Infinite Warfare is an Activision game and they have to enable the feature. Just like what Microsoft said in this topic. You can't force developers to adopt it just like Remote Play and how some titles are locked out.

yeah but thats easy fix. MS has alot of Pride and want their store/service to succeed. Im sure when they throw up white flag all games will be on Steam along with cross network play.

All I want is the old 360 digital store back it was so easy to navigate through and purchase games from as opposed to the rubbish XB1 store and passable PS3/PS4.

May I ask you what is so bad about the Xbox One storefront besides that it's slow as hell?

I actually think the 360''s store front is a lot more confusing. They have sections called Arcade, On-Demand, and Indie which is pain tbh. Finding games was a headache IMO.

Xbox Gui always evolving since the OG. XBOX OS always loaded with Gaming and non gaming features unmatched since the OG.

Xbox One X = Beast Mode. I see more cross play coming to pc/xbox. Which I don't like much if people cheat by lower the gpu settings to get the upper hand in some games.

PC will never be the next best thing in gaming. It never was. Its always been consoles.... ask Atari.

Glad they're working on improvements to the UI. I'm not a huge fan of it in its current state. Sorta clunky feeling. On PS4 I just breeze through the tiles. It needs an overhaul and a speed boost. Not a complete overhaul, but a decent reconfiguration.
