Splatoon 2 fails to include even the most basic of online multiplayer features.
Development builds of several titles for the Nintendo Switch, including Splatoon 2 and Project Harmony, have reportedly been leaked.
o matter what the reasoning is behind Splatoon 3’s lack of content and substance in the first half of its paid expansion, Wave 1: Inkopolis is certainly not worth any fan’s money and should have always been viewed as a small bonus to tide fans off from what’s still to come.
A new version 5.5.1 update has just gone live for Splatoon 2.
I just could not get into this game. It bored me to tears.
"Terrible" is a gross overstatement.
The way chat was done is bad, but that's really the only thing worth complaining about.
I'm especially happy with a multiplayer co-op mode for once; Salmon Run is a huge amount of fun.
I'm sorry but are we playing the same game?
Nah the online is brilliant , the app is the issue.
This is a ridiculous headline. There are QoL things that need to happen to the multiplayer (changing weapons before the next match! Backing out of trying to join a game!), none of which are listed in the article, but that doesn't make it terrible. It runs very well and has quite a few different modes to it. It's also a well-designed game.
The article itself only lists two problems: the online app and playing with friends (which goes back to the online app). The app sucks for sure, I agree with that. Voice chat is terrible. Just get a Discord going, because Nintendo doesn't understand how to do online gaming *or* they're overly afraid of exposing kids to foul language. And then they list "replayability" and only say that it's not replayable because of... the past two things they listed. Really?
This article throws out an abnormally large baby with a teaspoon of bathwater.
