'The Marine on the original DOOM box art was based on none other than the game’s co-creator John Romero.'

Saved you a click.

XbladeTeddy2888d ago

But it's an article telling you something you want to know. I clicked it. If no-one clicks websites die. It's not a troll article.

Fritzwochel2887d ago

I would have clicked it if the headline was something like "Read why the main character in Doom was based on John Romero"

Dynisty2888d ago

Why was that necessary? Part of the point of this site is to promote articles on sites?

Either way, it's useful info

admiralvic2888d ago (Edited 2888d ago )

It isn't, but a lot of people don't use N4G or things like the up/down vote (not that it matters, but I am not the one down vote. I agree with your overall message and gave you an up vote) things correctly. If you want to be really technical, this article should've failed because someone already put this news on N4G ( http://n4g.com/news/2082038... ) and the original really should've done better. But, that article also should've failed, since neither of these sites are the original source ( http://rome.ro/doomguy ), which is or at least was a requirement for posts here. But, sadly, that isn't the case.

Guess who doesn't give a s**t and won't click your article.

I clicked, and got nothing. No javascript for untrusted pages. So I couldn't read it.

Here is a source I do trust with javascript:

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil40d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
