There's no way to play them yet, so it's not much of an issue right now. Who knows though, anything can happen.

I am gonna guess and say on a powerful android tablet or perhaps on of the small touchscreen Windows 10 laptop/tablets. It's gonna need a touchscreen for sure.

indysurfn2848d ago

It may not need a touch screen if they boot it up in DOCKED mode every time. I dont have to use my touch screen (except during initial setup). Too bad this sucks for Nintendo, could spell trouble. I guess they get punished for not making proprietary storage. SD and SDHC cards are open format.

As I closely follow the homebrew society, the switch will be fully emulated in a few months. It's not an issue of it being difficult. It's more an issue of only a few people working on this project. But I say 3 months tops.

Yep immediately go for the piracy angle.

XbladeTeddy2848d ago (Edited 2848d ago )

That's the only reason for it though. Why else would you rip games and put them online for an active console? I'll tell you why, it's to allow as many hackers as possible to find ways to exploit and eventually run said games through modding.

chris2352848d ago

who would want to pirate switch games? and why? oh, i see, just because. personally, i wouldn't even play them for free.

MrFisher212848d ago

I like to smell my farts. What' your point?

EddieNX 2848d ago

Personally, I think you must have a horrible taste in games, I bet you have your steak well done...

Toxaplasm is present in in 40% of all meat sold in supermarkets. It is transferred to humans who eat rare or raw meat.
Toxaplasm are miniscule worm like organisms that lay eggs on the lining of the brain.
They aren't dangerous by themselves, but they reduce reflex/response times by 1-3% as they interfere with signals from the brain.
Having toxaplasm means you are 40% more likely to be involved in a human error fatal car crash.
Bearing in mind how anal some gamers are about response times in their equipment, you'd be far better off not eating rare meat.

Rare meat kills gaming skills.

I dont like this. Hope this will not hurt Nintendo or the Switch in any way...

LOL_WUT2848d ago

Aslong as Nintendo keeps making games, then who cares? ;)

babadivad2847d ago

I think this maybe a downside of making a system as weak as the switch. A majority of PCs are going to have no trouble emulating the system.

For X1 and PS4, even though they are using x86 hardware, you still need a PC several times more powerful to brute force emulate them. That's a very small percentage of PC owners. So it isn't worth the effort to even try.

With the switch, I believe my PC is powerful enough to emulate that system should someone get an emulator up and running.

WeAreLegion2848d ago

GDI people. You're supposed to wait until the system and its games are too old to make the companies money.

Big_Game_Hunters2848d ago

considering how fast the NES classic sold out, i doubt that day will come for Nintendo.
