You can never go wrong with a PlayStation console, especially in the long term

Only July'2016 was missing any new release with Meta>=80. Rest 42 months you got something worthwhile to play- That's what you call a console.

KickSpinFilter2898d ago

What about it?
Lag ridden, not a great service, not sure of your point

DialgaMarine2898d ago (Edited 2898d ago )

And? PS Now is a service still in its infancy, and unless you have insane internet speeds, you'll be playing PS4 games in only sub-HD @ ~30 FPS, regardless of of whether you're using the service on PC or PS4. If you want the best experience with PS4 exclusives, you're gonna play them natively on PS4/ Pro.

On a side note, if that's a snide remark about PS4 somehow being multiplat, keep in mind that 1) you don't own any of the games you play on PS Now, and 2) you're not playing them natively on your PC (you're simply streaming them from a PS4 somewhere else). You might as well be saying that every single Xbone exclusive is multiplat because we've been able to stream the games to Windows tablets since Day 1.

Relax guys, I was just joking. I also don't like PS Now. The reason why I referenced it is because PS4 games are now coming PC and people are like "So much for exclusives lol", "PC master race" and "Come on guys, PS now isn't that bad", even though they aren't clearly playing a PC port of the game instead just renting a PS4 game on their PC. Especially since they can't optimize the port nor even use mods.

ZeroX98762898d ago (Edited 2898d ago )

PS now works fine for me, but our connection at home is 300 mbs down/ 125 mbs up with no data cap. Wired, it works great.

PS now won't replace the PS4 for sure, but it can help Sony get a portion of revenue from PC gamers. Not the best way to play, but still decent. Gotta start somewhere to get it right in the long term.

You can never go wrong with a HOME PlayStation console, especially in the long term.

Fixed for you :)

FallenAngel19842899d ago

Well you can only experience PlayStation consoles at home so...

imtiyaz62898d ago

This the natural order. Playstation will always have the best games. It's been the case in every single gen Sony released a console in, it won't change anytime in the future. MS can give away free games for all I care but missing out on gems like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 or Nier is a deal-breaker for me as a gamer. As a console-owner, constantly missing out on such highly rated, critically-acclaimed games every year is unacceptable. When was the last time MS released an exclusive game as ambitious as Horizon?

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen2898d ago

When you have hardcore fans of other platforms buying PS4's you know Sony is doing something right.

Playstations are consistently THE best electronic bang for the buck purchase I make each and every time I buy one.

PlayStation consoles generally do have the most games of different varieties consistently coming out.

XiNatsuDragnel2899d ago (Edited 2899d ago )

Playstation has exclusive that are always not on PC as well which makes the incentive to buy one in the long-term. Also, Nintendo follows the same formulae as well.

Movefasta19932899d ago

even if all ps4 games are on pc,console gamers buy will still buy the ps4.The reason why the xbox isn't doing anywhere near as well, isn't becasue pc gamers aren't buying xbox ones,it's because there isn't enough new good ip .

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen2898d ago

If PlayStation ever does the "console exclusive" thing FOR EVERY GAME I'll skip spending $400 on a console and go straight PC gaming and millions of others will do the same thing.

badz1492898d ago

@IGiveHugs2NakedWomen

amen, brother. me too. I will stop buying console and wait for dirt cheap sales on Steam because that's the only way I can justify buying a PC game

KickSpinFilter2898d ago

Except Nintendo usually has AAAs 3rd parties drop out eventually in supporting their system

Cat Quest III Is Heading to Apple Devices on August 8

"A big part of being a cat pirate is sailing the seas and traveling from place to place. What better way to do just that than by playing Cat Quest III on the go? Soon, aspiring kitty pirates will be able to enjoy the charming cat-themed action RPG on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. That should be a purrfect option for gamers who don't have the game on Switch or Steam Deck. The iOS version will still support 2-player local co-op, thankfully," says Co-Optimus.

I bet it might start with Helldivers II

PrinceOfAnger4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

Maybe if they release old Sony games on more platforms they could earn more $$.
To make new games.

They will lose nothing. maybe some screams from few angry fanboys. and that's it.

Zerobalance4h ago

I'm trying to think? The only PS game I might try is Days Gone...maybe?

Gunstar754h ago

They have no choice. Their market share is shrinking and they are in it for the money

ravens523h ago

They just had record breaking financials. They said people this gen are spending the most. Chill, theyre fine xbot.

Lightning773h ago(Edited 3h ago)

No it's not wtf? So we're just gonna run around and make stuff up now?

Deathdeliverer19m ago(Edited 18m ago)

@ Gunstar75

lol are you serious right now? If Sony has shrinking market share whos eating it? Definitely isn’t Microsoft when the series X/s are selling worse than the Xbox one. The switch is WIDELY known as a companion console. It’s what you get WITH your Xbox or PS or even PC. Some games simply sell best on PC, but that’s a minority. As someone that plays on everything, please explain who Sony ids losing market share to? If anything they want to recoup from these live service blunders.

Fishy Fingers3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

A few years or maybe a generation from now, everything will be at best, a timed exclusive (other than Nintendo and some PC titles).

ravens523h ago

If PS puts 1st party games on any other platform guess what ima do!?!?! Nothing lol. I dnt really care.
