The Division is getting a barbershop that will allow full character re-customization

When creating a character in Tom Clancy’s The Division, players are able to customize a male or female avatar in a number of ways. Hair style, hair color, facial accessories, and even preset face types can be selected during the customization of a character. Once those choices are made, though, players are stuck with the features they chose. Characters are forever trapped behind options like permanent sunglasses or specific tattoos.

In update 1.7, players are no longer bound to the choices they made at character creation. A new room in the Terminal will let players re-customize their agents. The locker room and bathroom is accessible by simply walking into it. By selecting the mirror, players of The Division can then re-customize their character.

Didn't division have like 5 pre made characters with hardly any options to change a thing?

Saijahn2856d ago

Yup, one of the worst character creators in gaming history.

Kosic2856d ago

So unsure how resetting preset character to pick from the other 4 is going to help this game...

MIDNIITE_Z3RO2856d ago (Edited 2856d ago )

You can still change hair styles, eye color, tattoos, piercings, shades/no shades, skin tone, hair color. And there's more than 5 presets to choose from.

But no, it's far from the greatest character customization that has ever been made. But players have been asking for it for quite some time. It should've been in the game from the start. Apparently their creative department thinks waaaaaayyyyyy too far outside the box and never thought about the basics.

KwietStorm_BLM2856d ago

Should put it out in the city. Then we'll see who really wants to re-customize that bad.

MrCrabPuss2856d ago

People are still playing this pap?

Lennoxb632856d ago

I do from time to time. It's not a bad game. It just has a Ubisoft logo on it so it automatically gets a bad wrap.

MIDNIITE_Z3RO2856d ago

I still hop on quite regularly on the weekends. And there's plenty of people usually on when I jump on. So it's pretty alive and well honestly. And I see new people flooding in all the time. It just needs an influx of new content honestly. Which ultimately I think is what's hurting it right now.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno753d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic753d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman752d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon752d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
