YouTuber Pushes 8K At 60FPS In A Number Of Titles With the Help Of 4X Titan X’s

8K is definitely something most gamers wouldn’t be able to experience for a while. With users still holding onto 1080p displays, 4K seems to be a far-fetched idea until users actually experience content in 4K. PC Gamers have been pushing resolutions as far at 12K thanks to Project Cars. However, granting such an experience may not be healthy for everyone’s wallet.

He has the new dell 8K monitor, he can get 60fps with 4 Titan Xps which is insane how much power your really need. I have been gaming in 4K since 2014 and I think a 5K monitor will be my next upgrade soon, 4K has become my 1080p haha

You're right about the fps because that's what Microsoft reps have been constantly talking about is 60fps. /s. Most Xbox fans have been talking about "true 4k" and how the ps4 pro is rubbish because it uses checkerboard technique to have a 4k resolution. Microsoft has so many exclusive ips for Xbox and I wished they would have made a lot of exclusive titles for the xbox one instead of wasting money on xbox one x.

Phillip Spencer just had an interview where he said people don't care much about 60fps.

For me it isn't the wallet issue, it is the support issue. Quad SLI is no longer officially supported and even using driver hacks you still must have support from the game developer and practically no one is doing that.

I mean really, though 4k downsample to 1080p panel gets you some absolutely lovely anti aliasing making things super sharp and smooth, is there any point in a screen going beyond 1440p native unless it is cinema sized????

That's exactly why i went with a 1440p monitor instead of 4k.You get diminishing returns at 4k on monitors,even 50 inch TVs.

I was looking into picking up a 1440p monitor as well... but it seems games on the PS4 Pro, at least the current crop, don't really have 1440p options. I shame really, as the prices of a 1440p monitor vs a 4K monitor can be much lower.

I don't know about that. I have a 50 inch 4K tv and I can very immediately identify at that screen size of a game is running native 4K or just 1440p. I'm not unhappy with 1440p as a resolution. I think it's fine and a noticeable bump from 1080p which after experiencing higher resolutions, 1080p honestly looks pretty soft now and to think it was so "sharp" to me just a few years ago.

Regardless, 1440p and 4K are a very noticeable difference. Maybe not on small monitors but on 50+ inch televisions, you can definitely see the difference.

If you're talking about exclusives, that's a different story. But no games? Why make such a weird claim? What about WOW or Starcraft 2? What about old school FPS games like the original Doom and Wolfenstein? You said "always" so I had to throw in a couple classics. I'm sure there are more but I'm just spitballing a few.

Cool, I guess. Got to think not a single game has a texture pack in 8k. So, it is really just upscaling it to get rid of minor, unseen to most, "jaggies". Crysis 3 was solid at 4way x-fire. One of the few games that benefited from my second 6990.

With the 1080ti, I don't even play the 2-way sli/x-fire game anymore. Just wasn't worth the $ or hassle. Still, cool ...
