Forza 7 looks pretty amazing if you ask me, will pick up both for PC!

brich2332913d ago

Will pick up neither since I dislike driving in real life and dislike driving around in circles.

brich2332912d ago

Lol, I'll stick to playing my shooting games.

OoglyBoogly2912d ago

Why even comment? I'm usually not one of "those" but why did you even click on this article? Just to let people know you DON'T like racing games? Cool Story.

BrettAwesome2912d ago

What? Why? Do you live in France?

brich2332911d ago

If you dislike driving, why are you in a driving game article making comments no one wants to read? I try to stay far away from Pokemon articles.

Trekster_Gamer2911d ago

Big talk from a developer who can't get their game to run at steady frame rate

freshslicepizza2910d ago

GT games never had a rock steady 60fps either.

ApocalypseShadow2913d ago (Edited 2913d ago )

When you have been lapped and the other cars are behind you, it may appear that you are in first and they are playing catch up.

Project cars is a decent looking game. But when GT releases with its international Esport and great graphics and Forza releases with its great looking graphics on Xbox one x, not a lot of gamers are going to care about this game. It's still last in mind share.

Other companies like polyphony did multi screen before them. And I don't know anyone that has a 12K monitor. It's not even a talking point. Same with dynamic weather. Other companies did that before then too. PR doesn't make you first.

freshslicepizza2913d ago

There's more to games than just sales and name recognition. GT needs to step it up, they have slowly been on the decline since GT3. Turn 10 is hit and miss, Forza 7 looks great but one thing Polyphony does well is the lighting, the colors and lighting seem to be a bit off on Forza 7. Project Cars 2 is getting rave feedback but I felt the first one was a bit boring and didn't care much for the career mode. Assetto Corsa is very hard but realistic, but it's even more boring than GT.

The good news is we have a ton of choices.

Team_Litt2912d ago

I can't think of a single time Forza didn't meet my expectations except for maybe FM5 and even then it was the best racing game on the current gen of consoles.
I've tried AC and I flat out laugh in the face of anyone who thinks GT is a real racin/driving simulator because they've not played AC then.

As far as PCars is concerned, I think they do a lot of things right and perhaps better than GT and Forza but the way it comes together isn't as fun or consuming as GT and Forza.

Dee_912911d ago (Edited 2911d ago )

@Team_Litt
"I flat out laugh in the face of anyone who thinks GT is a real racin/driving simulator because they've not played AC then."
I assume you don't play with a wheel? AC is a great sim, but GT is not far behind by any means. Pcars is only playable with a wheel on both pc and console, with controller, cars feels like boats. I get in similar lap times on AC and GT, whereas Pcars it's very inconsistent, but mostly faster because of builtin aids. I compare physics with a wheel, lap times. I don't know enough about car physics to dwell in the intricacies of physics such as tires on the edge of grip, torque response etc.

Liqu1d2913d ago

To be fair Project CARS is a better sim racer in terms of realism and physics, but that's about it. Pcars 1 was horribly buggy and riddled with issues the devs couldn't fix, they also promised features that never arrived. Hopefully the sequel is what the original should've been because it had a lot of potential.

I see moldy is the first to reply to you again, I think he stalks you waiting for you to post.

Dspdspes2912d ago

I respectfully disagree. Imho it tries to be so realistic that overdoes it. No racing car with cold slicks will drift the way it did in Pcars. I've driven 4 or 5 times at Nurburgring (rented ferrari, lambo, m3 and couple of audis) and they dont behave like that.

Exoil2911d ago

You´re absolutely right, compared to GT or Forza Project Cars is a far better sim experience, although riddled with weird glitches, weird design choices and other minor points like the ones Dspdspes brings up with cold tires on GT3 cars acting like they would on a F1 cars with absolutely no grip. Or no, not "no grip" because you can corner just fine but you can't even think about touching the gas pedal.

I'm not saying Forza or GT are bad games, I love both of them, but for a pure sim experience PCars is above them both.

ApocalypseShadow2912d ago

So project cars is better than GT and Forza.

Got it.

frostypants2911d ago (Edited 2911d ago )

I literally laugh out loud every time I hear them blabber about those above-4K resolutions. By the time anybody can enjoy that nobody will be playing this game. It's idiotic.

A handful of small redesigns and a pair of back buttons make Nintendo’s Pro Controller for Switch 2 a worthy upgrade.

I love this controller. Feels so nice in the hand. Plus the battery lasts for days, it's crazy.

peppeaccardo1d 9h ago

$100 ?????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????

1nsomniac1d 9h ago

Yea the pricing for Nintendo peripherals is a bigger joke than the game prices. What the hell were they thinking!

peppeaccardo23h ago

i mean for a piece of slightly redesigned plastic with the same take of the last few years this has written GREED all over it ! Shame on Nintendo.

OMNlPOTENT19h ago

It's $85. The standard Dualsense is $75. The Dualsense Edge (Playstation Pro controller) is $200. The Xbox Elite (Xbox Pro controller) is also $200. How exactly is $85 so drastically insane compared to those prices?

Neonridr19h ago

the battery lasts like 10 times as long as a dualsense though.

Stevonidas14h ago

Not true; more like 20.

You may commence with your butthurt, ponies.

fsfsxii12h ago

It doesn't have analogue tho, sooo....

Tacoboto12h ago

$85 USD
or $75 at CostCo (same standard price as a DualSense)

Even at $85, you're getting 3-4x the battery life of a DualSense, and it is (by a HUGE margin) the cheapest first-party console controller with Back Paddles.

Vits1d 9h ago

The thing is, over the past decade, third-party controllers have really stepped up. You can often get better quality, more durability, and stronger performance for half the price of first-party options. Meanwhile, controllers from Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have become increasingly mediocre, expensive, fragile, and not particularly impressive across the board. What makes this especially noticeable with Nintendo is that they’re surprisingly open to third-party hardware. That openness ends up highlighting just how much better the alternatives are.

Chard1d 8h ago

Name a better controller

Vits1d 4h ago

Pretty much most things by half a dozen of chinese manufactures. Like, 8bitdo, Gamesir, Machenike, Gulikit, Flydigi, Manba, EasySMX, etc.

The exception would be really low tier stuff by those companies... those wouldn't be better, they would be about the same quality. But more durable.

Themba761d 6h ago

Best controller I’ve ever used I even like more than my dual sense edge

UltimateOwnage23h ago(Edited 23h ago)

Having used Dual Sense, Pro Controller 1, and 8BitDo Ultimate extensively, I am pretty much in love with Pro Controller 2. The easy reassignment on the grip buttons is such a big plus, but the soft edge joysticks are the best feeling sticks of any controller I’ve ever used. It’s really an awesome controller. The HD Rumble 2 also finally has some thud and the headphone jack is great with a pair of good phones. It’s worth the slight price increase IMO.

Profchaos17h ago

The pro controller 2 for me has the best weight and size it fits the hand perfect like the duelshock 4 did imo

I actually dislike the duelsense controller because of its size but the features are amazing on it.

Still as for the pro 2 no analog triggers is surprisingly something I dont actually miss

PRIMORDUS1d 5h ago

I have the original pro controller and TBH, I don't use it as much. I'm mostly using the Switch in handheld mode with the Hori Split Pad Compact Controller. I also never use the back buttons to program anything so I will not be buying this one here, so that will be $85.00 in my pocket 😂

Very good dev length for a AAA/AA game I'd say. Companies need to set an aim for this range. 1-2 is too little, I believe 3-4 is perfect. Any more is too much. Games don't need to be these gigantic games full of a crazy amount of content. Just make a good game.

Skate-AK1d 20h ago

Lol. Had no idea who that was, but I will admit they do look quite similar.

Hideo Kojima calls Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “ideal” for one key reason

Legendary gaming auteur Hideo Kojima heaped praise on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, calling it “ideal” for one significant reason.

gigoran82d ago

Greatness knows greatness. Simple as that. Expedition 33 is a masterpiece, built with a smaller team and with a smaller budget, blowing ubisoft out of the water. It doesn't matter how many devs you have and how much money you throw at it, great studios like Sandfall Interactive will always overcome you.

PrecursorOrb1d 14h ago

Kojima states the obvious lol

mastershredder1d 12h ago (Edited 1d 12h ago )

Ideal are you opinions being vacant from any discussion that is not about your own cringy universe Hideo.

The master of Vanity Tech Demos is here to tell us what a good game is. ooooh kay. It's pretty dang obvious without your 2 cents desperately needing relevance. This is just like his GTA grovel a while back. Yuck.

gold_drake1d 11h ago

quite honestly, i havent been able to stop thinking about it ha.

i keep playing it
