Screen Critics takes time out to rank the 21 videogame offerings from Nintendo's upcoming SNES Classic Console. Which game can't you wait to play?
Bitmap Books' latest could be its best yet.
"That’s not how you launch a system".
I wish we lived in the Alternate Timeline where Sega was still a dominant force in the console space and it hadn't been Microsoft.
Saturn was a fantastic piece of kit... they just went a little too ambitious with its dual CPU setup. which turned a lot of developers off (at the time). The homebrew community have done some amazing work many years later, thanks to multichip experience. It is still the best platform for arcade fighters and shmups of all time. Dreamcast is a close 2nd though.
I still enjoy my Saturn it was the first console I mowed lawns for and saved up for to purchase. I went so far as to purchase a used Saturn to run off an SD card. I even have a second Dreamcast modded to run off an SD card as well.
The second edition of gamescom latam brought some heavy hitters from some of the best developers in Brazil.
Man, I don't know....I think I would put Super Metroid at the very top of that list. That game was just so amazing...I would follow it with Link to the Past at number two and then FF III at 3.
Number one for me is split:
Super Mario RPG, the base for a future of light hearted games with great combat mechanics, and perhaps the best Mario RPG to date outside of Paper Mario: TTYD.
FF3(FF6) is perhaps the best JRPG ever made, easily up there as one of the top examples of stellar story telling, pushing together all the best elements of sprite based JRPGs to culminate in a masterpiece.
Obviously I lean towards RPGs with my particular biases, but for me, those two games are truly timeless examples of top tier game development.
1- Final Fantasy VI might be my Favorite Game of All-Time so I would put it at the top of the list.
2- A Link to the Past, Amazing game, Second or third best Zelda game IMO behind MM.
and Number 3- I would put Super Mario World, Timeless game, arguably the best 2D platformer Of All-Time.
