China's game developer KidJoy Studio recently announced that they are working to bring the classic stealth-oriented real-time tactics video game Commandos to mobile platforms.
From GI.biz: "Team17 has kicked off the new year with an acquisition, bringing Yippee Entertainment into the fold.
The deal amounts to around £1.4 million, through a combination of £922,407 in cash and £433,200 worth of consideration shares (114,000)."
From PlayStation Universe: "This includes the PC titles Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Commandos 2: Men of Courage, Commandos 3: Destination Berlin and Commandos: Strike Force. Kalypso now also has the distribution rights to Pyro Studio’s Imperial Glory and Praetorians."
Commandos 2 was my favourite. All great games. edit: Apart from Strike Force that is which is not a true Commandos game.
I have to say I'm more excited about this, I had way more fun with the Commandos game than with C&C
I hope they will reboot the original Commandos games, I haven't even played the FPS one yet as that is of no interest to me
Loved the commando games. Looking forward to this. I hope it's the old games remastered. Love to play them on my Samsung 12.2
