Pokemon Switch will be "a traditional find, battle, train type experience"

Nintendo of America president offers up one more comment about the new Pokemon game for Switch.

This is what I want. I LITERALLY want a 3ds version but amped up on the Switch and with online co-op up to 3 players. It'd be cool to walk around with friends like in the show. Nostalgia and all that.

I can't wait for this game. Not played a Pokémon game for quite a few years now but will be picking it up and the switch and I also expect there to be a bit of a bump in sales when it comes out to. Massive IP for the switch.

Saying this is a massive IP for them is a "massive" understatement. This IP will move GANGBUSTERS for them.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since the old Red and Blue days lol I only care about the 150 and its just a series I can't really get back into (unless they made a mode that catered to the 150 like classic mode or something). I love RPGs, love Pokemon, but the series is just too ahead of me. I don't know whats going on, deer as Pokemon and junk lol someone once told me a Chandelier is a Pokemon...

I received my Switch in the mail last Thursday. I LOVE it! Zelda & Arms are awesome. I've never been a Zelda fan but gave this a shot due to friends and general recommendation. Gotta say, I'm really enjoying it so far.
Edit: Also, here's hoping for a late 2018 release but no rush.

Switch has an account system, so that means with multiple save features on the same system/game that one user can trade far more Pokémon than they could in the past

switch is not set up that way like the 3ds......what the other person just wrote is correct, those accounts are all separate so we can trade between ourselves, even though I wont do that.....too much work to play a game twice.........I rather trade with others online

You're misunderstanding what we are talking about. You cant start a game on two account at the same time. In order for trade to work both account must be in trade mode.

You will have to close the user playing. Trading has nothing to do with save file. Its system base.

Now if you was talking about PokeBank on Switch then yes its possible to transfer Pokemon

Global trade station is how the trade will work, it started on the DS Pokemon series and you can put a Pokemon up in the station and wait to see if someone trade for it with the Pokemon u want.......so my point was......lets say I use Pokemon red for example.....i would put pidgey up in the trade station asking for a squirtle.........log off and then go in the other account and trade the squirtle I get the pidgey and delete my file and do a next trade............put up pikachi for charmander and then trade charmander in other file and start game over again...........

Only way I can see Pokemon nerf this trick is if the global trade station don't open up until u get 3 badges then it will take forever to use this exploit

Except you can't access multiple saves at one time from one system so that's not going to work and it would also completely break the trading mechanic.

switch saves are seperate for each account, meaning when my little cousin play mario kart on my system she cant access all the rides i have on my file......

same with disgaea 5 when my cousin go to play hers on her account on my system.....it do not show my save file on her screen.....it only shows her save file.......and when i am on my profile, it shows only my save file with no other save file under it....

accounts are fully separate.........nothing like 3ds

Yes, they are but a single player game like Pokemon you can't have two profiles running at once so there is no way to exploit the trade on a single system as BOTH save would need to be running at the same time to trade. If you go into Zelda on one profile you can't access the other profiles save until you quit the game, start it up, then choose that profile.

They will probably try to find ways around 'exploits'. Also if you are just implying backing up or transfer Pokemon to new accounts, that is already a thing with Pokemon Bank. You can already trade to yourself with that

With many many new features no doubt. Sure they'll incorporate some VR into it at the very least I'm barely 8-10 hours into Moon so gonna finish that off over the summer and take a Poke Break for a year or so me thinks... oh Pokemon go Gen 3 prob due soon 😩🤳😉

I was hoping for a revamp and do a proper full on RPG the likes of Skyrim. Hopefully it'll come eventually, the switch will be able to pull it off.

I think that would be cool, but only as a spin off. The Pokemon fans know what they want. Open world is a given, art style likely cel-shaded, look at Ni No Kuni or those Naruto games last gen, or the new DBZ titles.

I think it will be in the realm of what Pokemon fans are use to, updated.
