What LKA has created here transcends being "just another video game"; The Town of Light is an incredibly important insight into a dark part of history.
The second limited edition from the Black Label collection made in collaboration with Limited Run Games was revealed today for The Town of Light.
Video games publisher, Wired Productions, today released the Wired Horror Bundle on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4 (via PSN) and Xbox One (via the Microsoft store), featuring the critically acclaimed "Those Who Remain", "Close to The Sun" and "The Town of Light".
Wired Productions and LKA team up once again to bring the emotional journey of Renee to the Nintendo Switch for the small amount of £7.99 with part of the proceeds going to mental health charity Safe in our World.
This game is not "fun" in a traditional sense but it is worth playing if you haven't. Really raw look at mental illness and how it is treated.
This is is not a game for kids for sure, but the game is overall great, not because of gameplay but because of atmosphere, the place this was based on was shut down after a long time of operation and closed shortly after I was born which is crazy to think about. It’s also based on drawings and messages from a real patient. Definitely a must play if you enjoy psychological games based in reality. You can see real images of the shambles it’s in now, wheelchairs broken down lying in the dirt in the wooded area it was located in. Chilling.
