I think it's genius actually. It takes a shitty name like XBox One and reverts it back to just XBOX in its abbreviated form.

In the grand scheme of things, i don't think MS had a lot of options to choose from. They were adament that the new console is the same generation, plays same games, and uses same exact accessories as Xbox One. They've already released a SKU named Xbox One Elite, cant name another SKU with same name. Just like with the 360, they name their revisions with the console name then a letter, i.e. Xbox 360 S, Xbox 360 E, Xbox One S - they had to be consisten with this philosophy. In terms of category tiers with letters, S stands for Superior and X for the most Extreme.

To me, the Xbox One X is by far the most logical choice given the circumstances.

Scorpio was a catchy name I thought.
It should have been the XBOX ONE Elite and came with an elite controller or even the XBOX ONE S4K.

I mean they could of even called it the XBOX ONE BEAST or XBOX ONE MONSTER.

But the X, what does that stand for exactly? XBOX ONE XTREAM?

All in all for their PREMIUM offing it should have came with PREMIUM gear like the ELITE controller at least.
