Inti Creates' 2D action crossover has come back after its 2014 3DS debut. Mighty Gunvolt Burst combines the heroes of Mighty No. 9 and Azure Striker Gunvolt with a retro coat of paint and few new twists so get ready for some Mega Man style fun!
While traditional Mega Man games took a bit of a break for a while, another series stepped up to help fill the Blue Bombers’ shoes. In fact, this new IP’s hero was even a similar shade of blue! Inti Creates picked up where Capcom decided to leave off with Gunvolt, an original character who participated in rather familiar adventures. With the eighth Gunvolt-adjacent game appearing, now is the perfect time to go over who this hero is and why people should be playing his games.
Inti Creates hosted an Anime Expo 2019 panel to announce that their 2D action platformer Mighty Gunvolt Burst will release on PC-via Steam on July 31.
Xbox One is like the only modern platform that hasn’t received a Gunvolt game yet. Surprised they didn’t announce Mighty Gunvolt for that platform as well at this event
