Mock-Up: Should The Xbox One X Look Like This Instead?

The Pennyworth Reviews Blog: We think the Xbox One X could look better, what about you? The Xbox One X’s marketing and specs all point towards the fact that it’s a real monster console, the fastest ever made. Why, oh why then does it look like a budget-slim instead of a bit of a showpiece that lets you know that it means business.

I'm the one who made the image, I actually just realised that this thing would be badass with one of those OG Xbox "Duke" controllers that Hyperkin is making as well!

ya image looks good, but ima be honest with you the lights nah but the x on top thats cool

Skull5212922d ago

Looks fine the way it is. I'd get a kick out of it though if they sold some limited edition ones in the form of the original Xbox though, since its acronym is X-Box-One-X, back to just being XBOX. Fantastic.

This is all I was asking for with the design of the console!! I love how it is their smallest Xbox yet, but I thought they were really going to recapture the look of the original in a new modern way. I wanted green LED lights and an 'X' on the body of it. This would have looked so much better.
The design for the X is pretty bland imo.

Should have put a small scorpion logo on it somewhere like the power icon that glows in front but in a bright green. That would have been pretty cool and differentiated a bit.

Berenwulf2922d ago

Nope. The design looks minimalistic and mature. The mockup looks very old fashioned.

I hate the design. Looks just like a PS2, which I hated too. It definitely should have a small scorpion on it somewhere and I think I like the idea of a sort of modern day take on the original Xbox. Regardless it should have looked more vicious and less limp noodle.

On another note, Xbox One X is lame. Anybody in their marketing dept. should have been screaming NOOOO! A simple switch of the number and the letter gives you a much better name. The X1. Simple, catchy, and screams bleeding edge prototype. Throw the name Scorpion in and you get "The X1 Scorpion". That sounds like some military secret weapon shit. I just can't believe somebody got paid to come up with Xbox one X.
