Consider from DS it was 150 million, then from 3DS it was 65 million, now with Switch, who knows, but its likely to keep shrinking as not much is changing with Nintendo.

Capcom sees this and can't keep a series on a failing install base that is shrinking every single gen. They need to look at the future and start marketing for current gen console MH. That doesn't mean we won't get MH on Switch, but it sounding like it won't be the main series seeing how that is MH World and might not even come to the west selling what they are doing now.

Who knows where Deep Down is, the fact that they still own the IP and have the trademark renewed I guess means they have something still going.

They are localizing Monster Hunter Stories on 3DS this Fall.

World is looking to be a more casual, western approach to the series.
Capcom, if you want to truly see which type of game your fans want, release World and XX at the same time. I'd put my money on XX

Switch is basically dead to me. Mario Odyssey looks amazing, but the rest of the offerings are piss poor. Third parties already jumping ship.
