It makes sense, now that MS has announced Direct Reality and plans to support real VR/AR experiences instead of all the shovelware currently on the market. I mean, why else would EA wait until Direct Reality gets announced in order to support MR devices? Obviously, VR wasn't important enough to invest in a few years ago or EA would have created Seed at that time.
EA, like MS, knew it would take time for the tech to mature enough to support real gaming with decent graphics.
