Colin K. from Link-Cable writes: "Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia released in North America on May 19th, 2017, for the Nintendo 3DS. It’s a remake of the 2nd game in the series, Fire Emblem Gaiden, which was only released in Japan in 1992 – suffice to say, I never played the original, so this review won’t be comparing the two. Overall, it’s an absolutely fantastic entry to the series that adds a lot of new elements to the series while keeping it firmly grounded in tradition, so if you like strategy games, role playing games, or a combination of both, this is definitely a game that you need to check out."
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia turned one of the most inconsequential games in the series into a bonafide must-play.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is nostalgic for players of Gaiden, being almost exactly the same as the classic game but with some modern touches.
It was limited but I'd like the exploration in the game. I wouldn't mind another FE gsme like it.
With Three Houses' DLC wrapping up this week, it's time for Fire Emblem newcomers to explore the rest of the franchise! Here's what to know.
