What Microsoft India Actually Has To Stay About Xbox 360 Slim

The Angry Pixel writes: "It seems like Microsoft had an ace up their sleeves all the time while at E3, TGS and LGC this year, but they chose to show their hand only at a Gaming Night organized in Delhi this past weekend. Two Indian gaming blogs have been reporting that Microsoft India 'revealed' the rumored Xbox 360 Slim (among other things) at the above mentioned gaming night, while all E3 got was a confirmation on Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360."

heyheyhey5680d ago

erm, you do realize that Sony has been doing slimmed-down versions of consoles waaaaaay before MS put their dirty hands in the market?

Sena Kobayashi5680d ago (Edited 5680d ago )

So did Nintedo with GBA and GB SP and So did Apple with Ipod and Ipod Nanos what your sayin is irrelevant this isnt about who does what first. its about appealing to the public and getting to the money.

Im of to another thread with my MAX SPEED!!!

DevilVergilX5680d ago

Ya looking at the Ps2 slim and the ps1 slim. we definitely see who is copying who now, with the ps2 copying the xb360...
/end sarcasm

pp and Sena, sony has been slimming down there consoles since the ps1. Its obvious that sooner or later they are gonna slim down the ps3...

Sena Kobayashi5680d ago (Edited 5680d ago )

I know , but Slimming things down is part of the whole Electronic industrie now. Everybody want they're Items slimmer , TV-Screen, CPu-Screen , Cell Phones , Gaming consoles , Music devices .Its not about copying Sony nowadays . Everybody does it now . its about appealing to the market . Sounds pretty simple to me.

DevilVergilX5680d ago

Good point, but when ps3 will have a slimmer version of there own, people will be saying "Oh noes, the ps3 is copying the xb360, what a bunch of copycats" when its obvious sony had it in there minds to slim there console down for a while.

"wo Indian gaming blogs have been reporting that Microsoft India" Its not that I dont trust indians but isnt it weird that a so small market like india gets to see the "Slim" 360 before America or EU ??

I'm glad you at least trust Indians (I think that's what you're saying)!

India is a HUGE market for all games/telecoms companies. For example, it has biggest mobile growth market after China. Companies are pushing services and products really hard. One billion people and an increasig 'middle class' means there is more disposable income. India’s mobile entertainment market alone is worth US$403.13 million in 2008 and will be around US$2.24 billion by 2013 (this is large given it's not been around for long). A significant chunk of the population can be targeted to buy consoles and games so it makes sense to launch in a very big way in India.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil2d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai2d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing692d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa1d 22h ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal1d 20h ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II - PC Wore it Better

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II was an intriguing and unique RTS title, that sadly suffered in its console port.

dadavis19922d ago

Was just thinking about this game and wishing I had a way to revisit it. The way EA scrubs these titles from existence once their licensing runs out is horrid.

Michiel19892d ago

there is a client made by modders and it also works online.

kevco332d ago

Indeed. The game can still be played online on PC.

Xbox 360 players, though? Bang outta luck.
