No, it doesn't, but here's what I think.

1. Games.
2. Make it useful for people with 1080p sets too.
3. Games.
4. Price it competitively with Pro.
5. Games.
6. Graphics that showcase the power inside.
7. Games.

Did I mention that MS should continue to focus on games? Personally, I think they are, but only time will tell if they continue to push game development to the top of their priorities list. I can't wait for E3 so we can finally see if MS is serious about prioritizing games development.

But is it too late? Like say an amazing 9.0 or higher rated game came out like twice or more a year for the xb... Sure people would praise it and all that but would it really enough to turn things around? Consistency is the name of the game... You need to consistently do this, but also release games on the regular that fit into that niche category that might not appeal but to a small demographic to reach out to more diff types of gamers, and you need to learn that actions speak louder than words... Phil dont tell us what youre going to do... Show us... Speak when youre supposed to and stfu when youre supposed to. Saying something only to rectify it makes you look foolish af. Also, hiding sales #s makes it look like they (ms) dont even believe in their console. The wiiu sold a 10th of what the console did before it but at least they stood by their machine.

MS is building "The most powerful console ever". That's their bar. If the most powerful console ever can not reach 60 FPS consistently then it failed. I don't care about 4K because it is a lie, a lie that can easily be sold via dynamic resolutions and other gimmicks. 60 FPS, however, can not be gimmicked. Either you have the horse power to hit this benchmark or your hardware is too weak and can't.

Invest in good first party studios. Give said studios creative freedom and allow them to create new unique ips. Don't rush them to put out a buggy half ass game. Allow them time and give them money to polish the title. Take more chances and don't rely on 2 generation old titles that are growing stale. Bring back some ips from the back catalog that we havnt seen in a long time. A fresh new AAA Kameo or Crimson Sky for a start.

Microsoft may have fallen into the habit of trying too hard to force devs to make certain types of games. They own so many IP's that are just waiting in the wings. No doubt they have talented people working for them but the strong arm of the corporation limits inventiveness and stifles creativity by demanding certain guidelines be met. A new 343 IP would be cool to see I think. The people in suits shouldn't try to overanalyze what people want as they are not the artist. This is a culture at MS I would like changed.

Agreed. If you havnt I recommend listening to the IGN unfiltered interview with Ed Fries. Gives you a good insight into how the suits at MS who have no idea how the games industry works dictate what happens and call the shots. Pretty eye opening for myself being an Xbox fan.

If everybody who gladly paid 500 quid for Xbone with Kinect 3 and a half years ago go out and buy a Scorpio (because this IS the people that will be buying it day one), is that it considered a total success???

I said it before if Microsoft want to turn ship around they got scoprio coming all they need now to is have a big e3 showing a lot of new games we all know they'll never catch sony but if Microsoft can pull it off at e3 which I'm skeptical of they can because exclusive sell system and get people excited for the brand maybe they close the gap alittle in sales race. I like phil spencer but if he doesn't deliver at this e3 maybe its time to replace him because he said when he took over he's not paying for marketing deal because he can use the money for first party studio and games, its time to see it.

Microsoft is releasing the Scorpio way to late into this gen, they will never get the chance to catch up. The PS4 is still selling hard and when Scorpio gets released, expect a, pricecut on the Pro. However, if MS manages to do something good, the last of this gen, it would have to mean actually open up first party studios and let them take the time they need to release quality game and not just drop it when it gets to expensive, actually support the devs. MS is pouring billions into marketing but not developing and when I say this, I clearly mean studios. It's fascinating how they don't get this. This is the sole reason why Sony keeps beating them every time.

It's up to Microsoft to see how important xbox is to their portfolio and decide if it's worth it even selling it at a loss for mass market share. Or make it a Premium System that only a select xbox enthusiast will fork over cash to upgrade for.

The problem there... it's a niche, luxury, premium product. It's not expected to be cheap because of this and people knowing about it won't matter anyway cause it's niche. However, they seem to be treating it like a new console without actually saying it is, so what are the conditions that will make it a success?
