Oh well it'll be higher rated than most playatation exclusives so I think it's worth that and more

one2thr2947d ago

What do Playstation exclusives have to do with this?

Sony must be doing something right if thats the automatic goto for insult.

Wallstreet372947d ago

Like Uncharted, tlou, , etc ate higher rated than most Nintendo exclusives lol

Erik always a corny Nintendo fanatic. You don't impress anyone here with your blind fanaticism and comments. It's actually sickening :) He didn't even mention Sony but there you go taking Sony out your mouth lol haha

Aenea2947d ago

You are becoming a rather annoying little kid, you know that right?

Enjoy your Switch games, don't drag PlayStation games into it...

one2thr2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

@Fleece

I was unsure but after tying the global test punch its a very good fighting game.

Prince_TFK2947d ago

When games like Drive Club and No Man's Sky were sold at full price, why can't a more complete packaged game being sold at the same price point?

Of course unless you are a fanboy.

Uken122947d ago

Because he is just hating on a good game that he hasn't tried.

chris2352947d ago

is the switch ambassador program announced yet?

KimikoGaming2947d ago

This and 1-2 switch are games that should have been included with the switch to be honest.

Erik73572947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

Hell no, actually see peoples impression of arms and they love it.

This isn't 1 2 switch or Wii boxing.

What you said is like saying "street fighter 5 should of been free"

Can't tell if trolling or just really ignorant about the game

sk8ofmnd2947d ago

Ive learned to take nintendo fans love for a game with a pinch of salt like jim sterling... They seem to like anything nintendo branded and thats biased... Which youre more then welcome to feel this way im just saying to ppl outside the nintendo bubble i.e. sony, ms, or pc gamers 1 2 switch and arms look like a big meh. If its not as good or better than punch out its just another filler when in reality the switch is def lacking on the games front and esp with no AAA 3rd partys.

Uken122947d ago

@sk8ofmnd

He isn't being a Nintendo fan. He is just saying people are liking ARMS a lot and have come back from the testpunch highly impressed. I was thinking maybe I should skip it. But I played 3 of the test punches and it is a really good game.
Not because it is a Nintendo game. Because it is a good game.

1,2 Switch should have been packed in with the Switch. It's garbage tbh.

conanlifts2947d ago

1 2 switch yes. Arms no. It's possibly the best new fighting game in years.

sk8ofmnd2947d ago

Agreed... Nintendo needs to stop chasing motion controls/casuals... That ship has sailed a long time ago

sk8ofmnd2947d ago

Agreed... You would think nintender would want to capture the magic of an wii sports esk game... But nope.

conanlifts2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

After playing i can say for sure that it is nothing like wii sports. Its a new in depth fighting game that is a lot of fun. The controls and mechanics look like the will have a lot of depth. For me i was unsure about this game, but after an hour with it i will purchase day 1. I predict this will be the next big esports fighting game. I also played it with regular controls. The motion controls were hideous for both me and my son.
As for 1-2 switch... that was a hideous game, even if it were free i still wouldn't play it again.

davand1142947d ago

Yeah but they want you to sign up for Amazon prime to get the discount.

deafdani2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

Sign up for the free Prime one month trial, preorder it (and any other game you like), get around 12 bucks off per game, then cancel the Prime membership before the month trial ends. You will still get the Prime discount. I know because I've already done it.

You're welcome. :)

conanlifts2947d ago

So just to clarify. If i sign up for a free trial and order a game that releases a few months after the trial ends my discount still stands? I was never too sure about this.

rainslacker2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

They changed the rules that you have to be an active prime member to get the discount at the time they charge your card, so if the release is after you cancel the trial, they will want to charge you full price. I saw this new stipulation somewhere when pre-ordering a game, but can't remember exactly where. It's probably in their forums and FAQ's somewhere though.

I don't think this applies to games you pre-ordered before they changed these rules though, because I had one game ship during a week long lapse in my membership where I didn't realize they didn't have my updated card info for the membership cost, and I had some credit on my account to cover the game, and they still sold it for the discount price.

sk8ofmnd2947d ago

Amazon prime is actually pretty decent and you get a free month like other streaming type apps. You can totally cancle whenever... Pm me if you need help. I had to really dig in deep to find the do not renew option.

davand1142947d ago

I had it before but they just kept fucking up my deliveries so I went with bestbuy gamers club instead.

Majin-vegeta2947d ago

Na Best Buy Gamer club is better. You get the 20% discount whenever you buy the gane.Wrther it's a year down the road or 3 months from.now.With Amazon prime it's only two weeks after.

captainexplosion2947d ago

I was looking forward to it but the beta killed it for me. Joy cons are unusable and there appears to be no depth at all.

Uken122947d ago

You obviously didn't play it. Epic fail as a Troll.

Joy-Cons are not "Unusable" and there is a lot of depth to the gameplay.

captainexplosion2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

I'm a troll because I didn't like a game u liked?. I thought it was terrible. I could not get the joy cons to work at all and had to switch to the Pro controller. Game play was bad imo. No depth. How in the hell could you think the gameplay was deep? I was playing two players and almost every match one of the two players had to spectate. And the vollyball mode was terrible.

Uken122946d ago

I played the game for 1 hour, that is how I could think it was deep.
That's all. I used the pro controller. For me to get used to the motion controls I think I would need a practice stage.
So I understand your frustration with the motion controls.
Volleyball mode is ok, that doesn't have depth, agree with you there.
But the fighting has a lot of depth. All you had to do is look at how many locked arms there are in the inventory.

conanlifts2947d ago (Edited 2947d ago )

I disagree, but each to their own. Motion controls were terrible so i switched to standard controls and loved it. As for depth the moves and controls have a lot of depth. You just need to get used to the game.
My only hope though is that they add more maps and players after a few months.

septemberindecember2946d ago

You should have tried the traditional controls. I didn't use the motion controls one bit, but I really enjoyed the title. There will be a bit more depth once you can customize your arms a bit more. In the testfire you are stuck with whatever set they've provided.

Nintendo finally explains what free upgrades do for Switch games on Switch 2

All 12 games are getting different upgrades. Some get full visual and frame rate enhancements, while others get GameShare support only.

darthv7231d ago

hmm... those improvements for the zelda games is kinda weak. I was expecting improved frame rate, or at the very least more stable. Sad there is nothing for Paper Mario, that one could use a 60fps mode like the original GC version.

ocelot0731d ago

Both Zelda games both run at 1440p and 60fps now. On the switch they both play at 30fps.

--Onilink--31d ago

The main issue will be if they don’t remove the double buffer vsync in them.

Yes, they are technically already 60fps capped, but that vsync setup means even a single dropped frame below 60 sends it to 30fps.

Now if they are also increasing the resolution and visuals in the game, unless there is a pretty significant overhead, which is still likely but not fully understood due to the unknowns of the “emulation” setup, if the 1% lows in the game still drop it every now and then anywhere below 60, they will still end up having massive stuttering drops from 60 to 30fps.

Profchaos30d ago

He's talking about link's awakening and echos of wisdom not breath or tears

Tacoboto31d ago

The two Zeldas - EoW and LA - already run with a 60fps cap. I would hope they're not mentioning improved frame rate because it's just assumed that the Switch 2 will smooth out the drops.

Whereas the specific callouts for Bowser's Fury and Pokémon indicate a raise from 30fps to 60fps.

jznrpg31d ago

Disappointing. Not many games with not much in upgrades.

Tacoboto31d ago

So... They're not gonna do anything with that Xenoblade Chronicles X 60fps mode, huh?

CDbiggen31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

12 is a bit weak. The whole switch library is in need of a boost. Exclusives like the Xenoblades and Astral Chain would be great to see get a free update. Initially surprised Mario Wonder wasn't on the list, but I imagine they have a paid upgrade planned for that one.
