So tell me why not. Konami is a 3rd party developer, SOny don't own them, they didn't pay it to be an exclusive, MGS2 has been on the XBOX 1 etc etc.

The developer said they liked the 360 and will make games for it. The 360 has the largest public that buys games. Gears just sold over 3 million games in 2 months.

If you'd ask me it's rather likely.

theMart i use hdmi, you can see it, that it is sticked into the ps3. the composite cables sticked in the tv are for my gamecube, i am a zelda fan, lol

i loved metal gear on playstation 1...
never had it on ps2 as each time i bought i (i had 2 ) they broke..
but there seems to be no colour its like a moving piss picture...?

All non Anime PS3 games that are developed trying to get photo real looks always turns out to be green, yellow and/or washed out.

Sony fans will tell you it's art direction but why is it that every built from the ground up title has these lack luster qualities to them, makes for an poor visual experiance, on one of HDTV's strenths is wasted, kind of defeats the purpose .

I don't think any of us know the storyline, so we can't assume the worst. Last time I checked, Kojima was a respected developer. I will agree that the color looks off, but we don't know anything beyond what we see. He also said that the story is going to happen in more than one setting. This is probably just one of many settings and we don't know anything about the environment.

I think it's much to early to hype or bash this game. We still haven't seen much ingame videos. But i agree: I'm not sure, if i'd like the colors after some hours of playing. And it appears a bit too unsharp to me, i cannot find one razor sharp texture / area.

Especially the buildings. there are some screens with horrible textures, maybe to be replaced later on. But honestly, I was all excited about #2 and it came out and I played it and finished it and afterwards thought, "are you kidding? that was it?" the gameplay was super weak for me and so I am not really excited about this game. Hope I'm wrong. And I agree with MART it is likely that this will come out on 360, i can't see any good reason why not.

You keep saying that this game looks like crap but you're so sure that it'll come to the 360. I'm posative that if it was realesed for the 360 you would say the game is amazing, but for some reason the PS3 version sucks.

If you don't like MGS4, that's find but it really seems like the only complaint you have is the color. And if you're that picky, then you must've missed out on a lot of great games over the years. And as for you reason that the PS3 makes realistic people look yellow and green, what are you smoking? Look at Fight Night Round 3, you can say it looks better on the 360 if you want (I don't think it does) but it certainly doesn't look all yellow and green. So that proves that these screen shots are all a choice of art direction. If you don't like it fine, but you'll miss out on a great game. Hell, I thought GoW was a little bit too gray for my taste, but you know what? That really didn't matter because the game rocked. So you and Cuppa can stop being 360 Defenders and just go play your 360. I'll be playing the 360 and PS3 because I'm not a fanboy.

Reality's pretty boring though. Even Gran Turismo uses stylized realism, and the guys over at Criterion know that hyper-realism kicks ass. Complaining that Kojima is adding color tones to his games (which he's been doing since MGS on the original playstation) is just ridiculous.

MGS3 had mostly earthy tones, MGS2 had blue and turquoise segments, etc. Filmmakers like Peter Jackson and Spielberg do it all the time, so why can't game designers? What next, they're going to complain that Burnout Revenge has too much contrast?
