Almost looks like the patent design that PlayStation made in 2015. Hopefully PlayStation make a spiritual successor to PSVITA and make something like this but a better remote play system.

Or why they just don't bring back the Sony Xperia Play Brand? Just make it as big as the Galaxy Note and and more poweful than Switch, BC with all the Vita and PSP titles. I can only dream

silvacrest2958d ago

Its so simple isn't? yet sony just wont do it for whatever reason

Araragifeels 2958d ago

Sony Xperia is already not doing good in the phone market so adding play again will just kill the Xperia brand completely.

How the heck is that thing going to fit in your pockets...looks like the size of an iPad mini.

Looks pretty sleek and cool!

That screen is sexy af but dear god those controller/handlers are awful.

I think the tablet would look more ergonomic if Sony released it's switch. If you look closely into how the Dualshock 4 looks and feels, they sure wouldn't go with 90° corners :P it would probably look really alien. I wouldn't be surprised if dualshock 5 is made of some sort of glassy substance that forms into your hands.

while that looks pretty smooth (for a concept piece)...

i'd rather any money sony [might] think about putting into a new handheld or VR (version 2.0), that they would just put towards PS5 development...

"Players can now hide system apps, pin favorites to the list, and reduce the number of tiles displayed. This update is part of our ongoing effort to make Home more personal, flexible, and responsive to feedback."

This is welcomed, i like a less cluttered home screen.

Not sure what games you're playing to average 5 to 6 hours battery. Mariokart World and Zelda gets 2 and a half hours max.

gold_drake20h ago

not sure if its a successor or an upgrade.

and theres no way u get 5 hours.

Yea don’t think id get 6 hours in sleep mode!

I think there’s a lot of internal software issues with the battery management.

Sleep mode kills the battery almost as quick as playing games does. Playing switch 1 games seems to kill the battery faster than playing switch 2 games for the most part. Even playing a very, very basic switch 1 game seems to drain the battery much faster than I would expect it to.
