Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is out now on Nintendo eShop!
Nintendo has shared new data revealing the top top 30 most-downloaded Switch games in North America for September 2018.
My Hero One’s Justice sold 24,626 copies on Switch and 16,026 copies on PlayStation 4 for a total of 40,652 retail copies sold during its opening week, according to the latest Media Create sales figures.
The Crew 2 for PlayStation 4 was the highest selling new release in Japan last week with 17,585 opening retail sales, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.
The Switch version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana followed at 6,431 sales. To compare, the PS Vita version launched at 43,753 sales in July 2016, and the PlayStation 4 version at 27,741 units in May 2017.
On the hardware side, Switch sold 50,762 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 18,811 units, and the 3DS family sold 7,323 units.
8/10 first game are for Switch. Another nice week for Nintendo in Japan. I find though the Ys VIII numbers low for its release.
Japanese hardware sales as of 07/01/2018 according to Media Create:
PS4 (released 02.22.2014): 6,851,509*
SWITCH (released 03.03.2017): 4,506,235
*includes Pro sales
Switch is doing very well in Japan. Curious how sales will be when Pokémon and Smash release.
Switch sales are continuing to climb in Japan while PS4 sales seem to have peaked in Japan. A new Gundam game releases and sales went down from the previous week. The Crew 2 didn't seem to help either. Crazy. KMH 3 can't come out soon enough. You can't blame this one PS4 stock issues.
