The new Screenshots looks very good. And the innovations are nice. I think Dynasty Warriors 9 will be better than Dynasty Warriors 7 and Dynasty Warriors 8. All these new innovations are very nice.
Day 1 buy for me!

I been looking for some new changes in the game play and so far this is easily looking to be a Day 1 buy for me as well. I don't have a mindless game that I play so this will be nice depending on when it comes out since it is only 40% done.

Screens look nice but shoehorning in open world when open world games have become so dull. Eh, still not sold on this one. Hopefully, FE Warriors will be more traditional.

Fast travel is available so that's a pretty irrelevant

Also the Dynasty Warriors series is actually always been very open so I don't really see any shoehorning, this just sounds like the natural progression of the series.

......you mad this isn't coming to the switch right? Because it sounds like that might be the answer for your negativity...

Summons752547d ago

lol You are the worst troll on this site. All you can do is bring up Switch. Did Nintendo kick your puppy? Dynasty Warriors have had decently sized maps but it was hardly open and fast travel is completely irrelevant if open worlds are dead and boring to be in.

Go away you ignorant troll and try to have an intelligent conversation when all you do is cry about the Switch when it's completely off topic.

_-EDMIX-_2547d ago (Edited 2547d ago )

@Summon- you do realize that I only brought that up because you quickly brought up the switch title correct?

"Hopefully, FE Warriors will be more traditional"

I mean it suddenly sounded like it was on topic enough for you to bring it up...

I'm sorry but a lot of your hate seems to stem from titles not coming to the switch , in fact I've literally heard you express optimism when it's a rumor and then suddenly bash any game confirmed to not be coming to the switch lol

Stop trying to bash in town play Dynasty Warriors simply because it's not coming to the switch...

I mean you're literally looking forward to a game that is literally a side game to the main series by the same developer....

So you're looking forward to the side spinoff game but you're completely trashing Dynasty Warriors?

Ok bud .

I mean if you like Hyrule Warriors and you're looking forward to Fire Emblem Warriors I would assume the concept of Dynasty Warriors should be exciting to you....

Sounds like it has more to do with Nintendo then gameplay.

why does everything need to be open world?

Majin-vegeta2547d ago

You're right it doesnt. But the devs felt like The game was getting stale of the old formula so they're switching it up hence the open world.

madforaday2547d ago

I don't know how they are going to do it in Dynasty Warriors but I think an Open world is perfect for this title. It is funny the one thing that bothered me about Nioh is that it is mission based and not an open world. It is a big problem or even a problem but leaving the world to go into a UI to pick missions bring me out of the immersion, but like I said not really a problem.

DafunkyRebel2546d ago

considering its a war game about massive armies from different kingdoms, I'd say open world makes perfect sense

The Most Disappointing Video Game Sequels - Part Seven

Phil writes, "There's little that hurts a gamer more than hearing that a sequel to one of their favorite games is coming out, it releases, and it turns out to be a dud. It's happened to the best of us. It's like having the rug pulled out from under you when a sequel you've been hyping based off of love for its predecessor does less than satisfy when it finally launches. Sometimes it's due to the formula being changed too much and not for the better. Other times it's because the game is missing what made the original so good.

Whatever the reasons may be, SPC is back with a look at six more disappointing video game sequels that failed to deliver or failed to satisfy for one reason or another."

I just hope they learned their lessons from DW9. The open world feature was personally unnecessary.

I bought dw9 specifically because it was open world
