"This year's been fantastic so far for Japanese games, and we've been playing a whole bunch of it this week at Castle Rice."
Square Enix and Platinum Games' action role-playing game, Nier Automata, has nearly reached sales of 10 million units worldwide.
I have it for Switch, (Nier Automata The End of YoRHa Edition) amazing game.
According to a former PlayStation boss, NieR: Automata revived the Japanese gaming industry, which was just following trends before it.
im not sure if they "saved" it, but Taro definitely shook things up with the story telling that hes so infamous for.
especially in times when free to play model was at its peak in gaming.
I never really felt that way, but I really enjoyed NieR: Automata, I made sure to get all the endings.
I’m not sure about that but it was good to have and hope we get more games from Yoko Taro that aren’t mobile
"Last Surprise" and "Mass Destruction" are two of the best Persona battle themes, no doubt.
The Japanese developers make some excellent games. I wish there were more released in the US.
I'm not usually into the japanese stuff but my oh my, have they really caught my interest this year... Had an amazing time playing Yakuza 0 (and can't wait for the next 2 coming stateside within the next year) and Nioh. Dabbled a bit in The Last Guardian (I realize that's from last year) and am now indulging in Nier Automata, which is just insanity (in a very GOOD way). Besides all that, I'm really looking forward to Persona 5 and can't wait to get thru some of this backlog so I can run to the store to pick it up. That steelbook is mine. ; )
