Games market in China forecasted to exceed $1.3 billion in 2008

Game development outsourcing continues to grow with savings of 20% to 40%.

Pearl Research forecasts the games market in China, inclusive of online, packaged PC and video games will exceed $1.3 billion in 2008. These findings are contained in the 120-page "Games Market in China" study which analyzes both the domestic games market and the market for game development and outsourcing in China.

And that's why it's so important the 360 will launch there soon...

Plus, China doesn't like Japan so much, bet they're pleased to be able to not buy something from there.

The 360 will be the first next gen console that launches in that massive market. It's huge. They start to earn money now there, markets are opening up a bit... The only thing that worries me is the human rights and how companies have to apply to government very tight restrictions
