Sony needs to start recognizing PSN achivements like these, either by creating a rankings portal ( - built in the trophy section of the PS4's UI)or give out vouchers for games, event invites etc or both. People are clearly spending tons of money and time on their products so its about time they got recognised for it in some way.

They've done things in the past. They had a deeply flawed auction system where people could spend gold trophies to bid on props from a commercial spot. My PSN friend won the inFAMOUS: Second Son costume and the guy here won the most popular costume, which was a Helghast sniper ( https://www.youtube.com/wat... ).

Also, there is a good chance Hakoom and several of these people get free items and other things from companies, though I'm personally against Hakoom getting anything. This is nothing against his accomplishments, questioning how he got there or anything, but his lack of giving back to the community.

You look at a lot of the top trophy hunters and many of them post guides and tips. My friend who I mentioned won the other costume wrote a number of guides ( http://www.playstationtroph... ), where as I've never seen Hakoom write anything to help anyone outside of posts saying which games are easy to platinum. In fact, he is actually so outside of the realm of helping others that you can pay him to earn trophies for you at an absurd price ( http://hakoom.net/trophy-se... ).

I don't know if Stallion83, which is the 1 million plus Xbox achievement point person, does that, but at least he doesn't seem to have the same inflated ego. I seem to have issues finding much where he makes it about his accomplishment, where the only three videos Hakoom posted to YouTube in the past year are about how he accomplished X, Y and Z.

Its great for the people that focus on platinuming everything but sucks terribly for people that don't making it completely useless and in fact makes you feel like you havent acheived much of anything.

Also Sony does't owe recognition to anyone who just consumes product, they thank fans equally and all are welcome to the numerous shows around the world. If he truly wants Sony's attention then he can start with something more constructive.

Bloodborne and Horizon are the two I have. I never really cared about trophies before but Bloodborne is one of my favorite games and it was cool how Horizon makes it accessible and drops you before the final mission after you beat it to tie up loose ends.

It happens but yeah I agree it can be annoying when you've done the rest of the list and then you've got one for 1 million matches online or something just ridiculous. Fifa 15/16 each have one missing but I'm past caring I'm not bothering with 17 at moment. Might pick it up in a month or 3 on the cheap.

These days and since jumping back to PlayStation (I'll play where the games are) I'd like to think that the games that I've even bothered to play or attempted to complete are of a higher quality than previous unless it's a game I really wanna play or like regardless of review score I'll play it but generally I only play 8/9/10 out of 10's sometimes a 7 or a 6 but yeah depends on the game and how interested I am in it. Not buying games due to trophies that's is ridiculous.

You hear some people going oh I won't buy that as the achievement looks hard... WhaT?! Either get the achievement/trophies or not but don't miss out on a great game because of it madness. But fair play to the guy. I'm on about 30/35 so give me 65+ years and I'll catch him 🕹😂😉

I concur, as I play the game as long as I'm interested in it. And honestly IF I really wanted to i'd have plat every single game I have. But lets be realistic, there's school etc you know this little thing called life so the grind gets tuff. I just play get what I get and move on or go back if and when I have time. One of my friends has over 200 plats I had more than he had now he's surpassed me always asked why don't I plat so and so games on my list cause its super easy. I just tell him time and the other great games out there that begs a look over or at least a glance. But to each their own. I love the challenge but I'm not gonna lose it over achievements/trophies.

I feel exactly the same way. I don't mind spending a bit of extra time in some games I enjoy just to finish up a few trophies though. But I'm not going to sit there and spend copious time with a game I don't absolutely love to get a platinum. I might spend a bit of extra time on a game I don't absolutely love if there is a bit of clean up, and it doesn't take more than the rest of the night after I finish a game. Otherwise, it's onto the next game when I'm done with whatever I happen to be playing.

Otherwise, I do this more due to OCD, and not because I care to compete against others, or feel I need to validate my gaming prowess for others who I don't even know, will never meet, and would not care what their opinion is of me to begin with. That being said, there are some games where I have met some pretty cool people in boosting sessions to get trophies, so there are some advantages that fall outside the realm of just having trophies be some sort of status symbol.

I have 3. There's a few I came close to obtaining but when the search for the trophy outweighs my personal enjoyment of the game I love, I stop. There's a limit before it ruins the experience.

Still, hats off to him. That's honestly hard to fathom, let alone achieve, yet he made it a reality.

It would be interesting to see where everyone stacks up, globally/regionally. Be it in a tier system or the like. Perhaps certain tiers grant certain rewards? Vouchers towards discounts on digital games? Exclusive avatars/themes? There's room for creativity, and Sony could capitalize and engross people further into the journey that is trophy hunting.

Few questions I have is that you: how can you earn all these trophies and also sell trophies at the same time. While we're talking about trophies can you tell me if you were involved with the ps3 trophy hack that's lets you unlock any trophy. As others teams said that you were and had send them emails about stopping due to them under cutting your trophy sales.

The problem is that there are usually a handful of trophies (often times more) in most games that require you to look at a trophy guide to figure out what you need to do to unlock them. They don't pop up naturally during the course of most players gameplay experience. I won't go out of my way to earn a trophy that I wouldn't otherwise pickup without having to use a guide. That's for those that want to squeeze every last bit out of a game for value's sake or have a compulsion.

While I commend you on your trophy collection I will point out 2 discrepancies to your claims of honest trophy hunting. While I know the "Legend of Korra" is relatively an easy platinum to achieve I do not see it possible to earn it at the same time singing your lungs out in SingStar. You "got" the plat for LoK on Oct 30, 2014 and the plat for SS on Oct 31, 2014. I already know you used the changed the date on our system to get the holiday specific trophies I can understand you not wanting to wait the 2,4, and 6 months to get them. Now regardless of those 3 trophies you have to sing between 500-1,000 songs perfectly to get the plat in "6 DAYS" and if you're voce is that trained to get 10,000 seconds of perfect pitch in the 6 days you need to get a recording contract not play video games.

Can I play?

On Feb. 22, 2010 it says you were playing Dark Void ( http://psntrophyleaders.com... ), Dragon Age ( http://psntrophyleaders.com... ) and BioShock 2 ( http://psntrophyleaders.com... ). According to your trophy times, it says you beat Dark Void at 12:36:17 PM, destroyed some UFOs at 12:52:56 PM, killed 10 enemies while they're in an anti-gravity bubble at 1:35:49 PM, swapped to BioShock 2 and hit the last level in mutliplayer at 2:26:04 PM, jumped onto Dragon Age: Origin to one trophy at 3:23:12 PM and another at 3:38:03 PM, only to return to Dark Void at 3:39:57 PM.

Do you really expect me to believe you played enough of BioShock 2's multiplayer that you were able to get off a game, load it up and get the platinum in 51 minutes, quit out of that and play Dragon Age: Origin and get that platinum in 57 minutes, followed by quitting out of that, swapping over to Dark Void and getting another in 1 minute and 54 seconds? Seriously, you can discount the previous stuff, but I find it impossible to believe you were able to quit one game, load another, boot up a level and then earn a trophy in under 2 minutes. Though I would love an explanation or video of you successfully doing it.

Sure, you buck the system, and that's the developers fault for making them pointless, but all you have is a bunch of electronic trophies which you didn't actually earn. Not that I wish to take away from those that you did earn, but in this context of your overall count, it does make sense to call you out on if you actually earned something.

Cheater or not, why should any trophy hunter actually respect your acomplishment, when you say you didn't actually play the games you earned the trophy in. I mean, we call people cheaters that have multiple people who try to earn trophies on a single account. How is what you're doing any different, since you aren't actually earning the trophies by your own admission.

What exactly are you getting out of this other than having 1200 platinums and some recognition? It seems you're actually more interested in the recognition, rather than the pursuit. Fair enough if that's true, but I find it silly that you come in here and try to defend yourself as if you've actually achieved something significant.

I won't go so far as to call you a cheater, because honestly, I don't care that much, and it's your life being spent pursuing what is ultimately a pointless endevour, but cheater or not, you most certainly do exploit the system to have your great achievement of having 1200 platinum. In no real world instance of competitive analysis is that actually considered praise worthy, nor is it healthy to take pride in an achievement which you didn't actually earn. In fact, it tends to indicate one has a very narcissistic personality whose self worth hinges on something insignificant.

Good luck on 1300 though. I'm sure we'll see that article next year.

I have 40 something platinums. I earned all of them. I'm neither proud nor feel I fall short of your achievement, because I earned them the way they were meant to be earned. About the only one's which may be questionable and have people accuse me of pursuing easy stuff would be the telltale games, because I have played multiple versions of some of their games, but that's because I actually enjoyed them.

if there is a way to shoot up to lvl 1000 lets say in a game which takes 50hours to do but i found a workaround exploit to do it in 5hours why wouldnt i use it? aslong as its an ingame thing and not a 3rd party hack. you undertstand what i mean correct? like in darksouls for example you can dupe souls by letting someone drop you them quit up backup save and redo the operation....
now thats not called a hack

i also earn trophies when iam asleep sometimes or grind exp or gold in games
the turbo controler is the answer to that.. you just leave it spamming x to retry the match and earn gold or lvl up after the match... why not use it? its not a hack nor a cheat

The difference here is that you bring it on yourself for a couple of reasons. The first is how you describe yourself, which this is an exact quote off your Twitter page "#1 Legit Trophy hunter on PSN Leading with 50000+ trophies & 1000+ Platinums." The issue is that you call yourself "legit" as in legitimate, but you define legitimate in your own way that many would not describe as legitimate.

This is like saying steroids should be allowed, because the person in question is still making the effort. You don't just inject yourself and get big, you still need to work out and put in some effort, it just isn't as much and possibly beyond what would otherwise be possible. Like Rain was getting at, if you're doing things by using a fan or grinding via a turbo controller while you sleep, what about it is different than loading a program and enabling the trophy outside of wasting electricity/money/resources? You still didn't earn it, I still wouldn't consider it "legitimate" and so forth.

Also, no offense, but when you demand proof and then give explanations like this, it's essentially the a wizard did it defense. Even if this is true, it makes far more sense as an outsider looking in that you had one or more people playing one or more of those games than having two or three PlayStation 3s' running at the same time or bouncing between multiple tasks via PiP or something else. And don't even get me started on how someone "trying out a game and getting a trophy" could be viewed negatively.

But, in the end, if you want to defend any claim by saying wizards did this or that, I won't stand in your way. But I will say one bit of advice, even if you stand up and defend yourself against claims like mine and even if they're in fact legitimate, you're not going to sway my opinion. Not because I'm not open to new ideas, but I find an answer like this far less likely than someone else was playing.

My point was, is that you haven't actually earned all those trophies by your own admission. You exploited the system to get trophies, and then take credit for earning them as if all of them are legit because the systems in place allow it.

While you may not cheat or hack, exploiting what systems exist is not earning trophies, so it calls your accomplishments into question. It's like the soccer players who exploit the silly rules which allows them to behave like poor sportsmen in order to gain an advantage in a match. It's annoying, and generally frowned upon by those who want honest accomplishment. Sure, its not cheating, but it's faking it and exploiting a broken system.

That being said, I don't use exploits. I will read up on tips on how to do something, but I will actually sit there and earn my trophies. I know less extensive exploits exist to quickly earn the occassional easy trophy where it'd be annoying or hard otherwise, but I can't recall ever going to extra steps to actually achieve such trophies in the past. Maybe I did, but it was exceedingly rare. Granted, I don't pursue trophies to anywhere near the level of the top trophy hunters, so maybe they do this stuff, but I know in general, the top hunters tend to respect those who earn it without excessive tricks or exploits.

I am a trophy hunter with close to 200 platinums to my name so I do have an idea as to what is required to get them "LEGIT". As admiralvic said and I agree with him the way you portray yourself to the public is as if you worked hard and put in the hours to get these trophies which as you have proven is UNTRUE. Where as I put in 300-400 hours in order to get the PSVR Battlezone platinum and make it my 10,000th trophy. Nor do I jump and get copies of games from different regions to bolster my trophy count.

Sorry to say it like this but not putting in the actual work to earn your trophies does not make you a HUNTER it just makes you what me and my friends call a trophy WHORE. You do not play games to enjoy them at least what seems to be the MAJORITY of them, you rather reduce the meaning just for popularity and bragging rights.

I don't know if there would have been enough time since trophies were released for someone to actually earn that many plat's legitimately. Even if you played multiple versions of all the easiest plats, and played multiple games which don't require much interaction all at the same time on different systems, there just aren't enough games like that to really do it....much less if you start throwing in games which can easily take 2-4 days of solid play to actually get a plat, and even less if you throw in games which take weeks or months to earn trophies....even if you fudge it a bit on some by using tricks which aren't really cheats.

Friends think I'm crazy at 27 plats. There's easily a dozen or so more that i could get but I just never cared to put the extra effort, additional play in or jump into multiplayer. I play a lot of games and sometimes I'd rather move on. That being said, trophies are a great asset to anyone who chooses to use them. Personally I use to play a game and that was it. Or even worse, play a game and not quite finish it & Yes I'll admit that. With trophies it gives me incentive to do different things in some games, continue playing some games, finish games, actually replay a game in some cases and so on.

However, those who go out of their way playing Hannah Montana, Barbie, just hunters looking for that big score and attention, they might still be gamers but I respect someone who has plats on games they enjoyed and a high gamer score playing good-great games more than a hunter. If he earned them all hats off for the dedication, it's still a feat but I'm a bit mixed about the play everything aspect just for a trophy that hunters have

Sony does/did give awards for doing this at least I got some. I got into the now defunked MVP program because I collected 50+ Plats in 1 year. That gave me the opportunity to attend E3 under the Sony banner a couple of times. They also gave me my PS4, 5 games, xtra controller, and a PS messenger bag on launch day for being in the program. So there is some acknowledgement from them when things like this are done.

Now when it comes to this guy and his trophies I call foul on him actually earning them ALONE. It is not possible (legitly) to earn a trophy in SingStar on Oct 25th when the requirements say "Sing a duet on VALENTINES DAY" or get the trophy for singing on Xmas Day "Dec 25th" also on Oct 25th. He would also have to sing at least 1000 songs damn near perfectly to get this plat in the 6 days that he did regardless of getting the holiday specific trophies. All the while getting the Legend of Korra platinum during the same time period.

You can change the date on the system to get that trophy. he said above how he got the 1000 songs trophy. Basically, he earned it while not actually playing the game by using a house fan.

So, while he may actually do it all on his own, he openly admits to not actually "earning" them in a way that is considered legitimate. At best, barring having multiple people doing it on a single account, he exploits the system.

Hardly praise worthy, and not sure why he gets attention when he hits new milestones.

but to each their own. If he takes pride in whatever he feels he earned, more power to him. I doubt others really feel the same about his accomplishments, and unlike some people who actually achieve greatness, those that have a distaste for how he's achieved all this have a legitimate reason to "hate" on him.

3 You earn beat game trophy before you get beat chapter 1 trophy. This what happens when upload multiple trophies from the same game but from different system.

Anybody that knows about trophies that is a hunter can easily look at your trophy list and tell. The proof is your trophy list itself. Sony do rewards people things this it was the PS MVP program.

I've actually conversed with this guy online. He's pretty cool, and quite dedicated. He once said that the streets in his country were really unsafe but he braced them if that meant he could make it to the game store. This was back when digital downloads were just starting to take off and there weren't too many full retail digital titles yet. It's good to see he's still at it. Yes, this guy literally plays everything he can on PlayStation platforms for the trophies, and that also means he's platinumed some really difficult games. He's an inspiration to us all.

Assuming it's all legit(single person), then he exploits things in games to actually achieve this number. Otherwise, to actually play the games legitimately, even if you are the most awesome gamer alive, would not be possible in the time since trophies were announced.

This would mean he spends a lot of time also finding out how to exploit things in games to pop as many trophies as possible in the shortest amount of time. I'm not really sure how healthy that is to obsess over getting so many plats to such a degree. It requires a tremendous amount of dedication, and seems ultimately pointless beyond bragging rights. But who are you going to brag to? The only other people that care are other trophy hunters, and the community as a whole tends to frown upon using excessive exploits to actually earn trophies. Some here and there they can look the other way, but mostly, they believe in actually earning them. So this means the recognition is personal to him....and underlines a unhealthy narcissistic personality.

You are doing great. 30 is a respectable number. The trophy hunter community, for the most part, are more about the pursuit, rather than the high numbers. For the most part, what I've seen in the forums, is a lot of the top achievers tend to believe in doing it legit, and are very much appreciative of others who do the same, regardless of how many plats those people have.

I sold games to the top guy in one of the EU countries, and he was pretty cool, and while he actively pursued games for their trophies by doubling up on single games from different regions, or playing some easy games, he at least earned them on his own. I had about 40 plats, and he was pretty cool with me, because while I am no trophy hunter like he is, I at least appreciated the pursuit enough to take the time to do it. Ultimately, having 30 puts you in the top ten percentile, because the extremely vast majority don't even have one. Just go to PSN profiles and you'll see you are probably ranked relatively high among the user base.:)

I feel a little sorry for him. It is great achievement to get so many platinum, sure. And he is very good and dedicated gamer, great. But he seems to be really addicted too, and I'm not sure if he enjoys games like Hannah Montana. If so, cool. And Sony does show their appreciation to their players the MVP program (which I myself is one them.) and a contest where people can turn their trophies in for awesome pirzes. i definitely think there should be a reward for every games platinum. a dynamic theme is a great way to thank the gamer for their dedication. also i think hitting a landmark number of platinums (10,25,50,100 etc) should be applauded by sony in the form of a reward to give the trophy system more reason for existing. i love platinums (i have about 65 right now) but atm they are pretty much only there for bragging rights.

Its true, that some playstation rank, tournament, league system and awards would be nice. Even leagues in Alienation motivate me to play. If there is some similar system to go up the ladder and gain some discounts according to achievments. Ie in platinum league top 10 players get 50% discount on all store items, top 10 gets 50% and random discounts way up. I dont know. But these can motivate people to even play more. You know, every loyal gamer wants to be in some sort of vip group, where he has something more than others :-)
