Neon, I completely agree. The headset is incredible. I can't begin to describe what it's like to use it, but most of the games are like they were made for PlayStation Move or worse, horrible games ported from PC. Hopefully, Farpoint can join my PSVR ok to buy list:

this look WAY more polished and has more meat to it than what i expected tbh, now im definitely buying it(and we will probably see more games using the gun anyway), do these guys know how to make a trailer or what?YUP!

i was not gonna buy this at launch because everything i'd seen looked ... meh(problem was that almost all of gameplay footage we've seen was from single demo and the same part of game)

glad to see a lot of new things like more npc, more lore and game parts! (so i guess they couldn't lead with this trailer because most of this stuff did not existed until preety recently or was not ready to show to public.),

to resume, this trailer completely changed my perspective on this game.

@DaDrunkenJester - I have I Expect you to Die for my Oculus Rift. Love that game. Sadly I won't double dip on VR games so the Rift gets all the multiplat VR titles and my PSVR gets all the exclusive titles.

Today I just came across 'Werewolves Within', I thought it looked like trash at first glance but after getting recommendations and watching youtube videos, it's an amazing experience that will keep me busy until Farpoint.

Not going to lie, If it were just a regular game, I would say it looks average. But it's VR and that's different, these games can feel amazing, having an atmospheric space adventure game in VR will probably be awesome. I don't have a VR headset, but I'll consider getting one as more games like this start coming out.

Looks pretty standard as far as shooty sci fi goes, nothing special there.
Graphics look good but now imagine it at 540p, slightly out of focus, a bit shimmery and with the screen fogging up for the first 20 mins of play lol.
I love my psvr but I'm not gonna pretend this looks anything other than average.

Just so you know the pro has no effect on how a game looks in VR. the glasses are set to a resolution of 540p. If you want VR to look better you have to wait for Sony to release an upgrade.

False. Higher pixel density, better effects, higher frame rate, more detailed textures, and draw distance can all be improved on Pro. REVII and RIGS look a lot better on a Pro in PSVR.

@GrimDragon - the Pro enables supersampling which will clean up the image before sending it back down to the headset. While the resolution will still ultimately look the same the pixels can come out looking smoother and with better sharpness.

where are you getting 540p from?

And I think youre dismissing as well what it will be like to play a real shooter where you can move around with the Aim controller and the headset, not simply an on rails game. If done well there is not another game like it with that immersion that I can think off, but admittedly Im not up to date on PC titles.

What is the price for the game and aim bundle in the U.S.? Also hoping that the games lenght is fairly long, like eight to ten hours would be decent. One thing that looked weird in the trailer was that the faces inside the helmets looked a bit larger than they should be, like NBA Jam big head mode. Maybe the helmet shield magnifies the face inside. Will be picking it up, just dont know about day one.

If this is good im getting VR. Looks promising got a real movie vibe to it.

Just hope Alien Isolation 2 is VR compatible, Sony should fund the sequel and make it a PSVR exclusive game.

If this sells well then it'll be a no brainer for CA and Sega.

Hopefully, it's really good. Most of the news about it has been great so far. Although the single player campaign being just 4 hours or so long is a bit of a downer. It does have a separate co-op mode though with different maps so I hope that one has enough content for replayability.

Im hoping this is a big hit. This is what VR really needs, Killer Apps. If this is actually a good game, if it would stand on its own two feet even without VR, then expect it to open a lot of peoples eyes about how good VR can be. I think shooters lend themselves perfectly to VR, and the controller looks fantastic. I played Killzone with the Sharpshooter and while it had its calibration issues is was an experience you couldnt get anywhere else, be it controller, mouse, or even lightgun. I real FPS with those kinds of controls was incredible. Throw in VR and the immersion will be through the roof. Hope it does well and I'd love to see a cheap bundle with Headset/game/controller at a great price.

You obviously have not played PSVR on the pro. Graphics and frame rate are improved on the pro try playing starblood arena for instance and you will see the difference
