Eurogamer:
The ID@Xbox self-publishing program might be Xbox One's crowning glory at the time of writing, boasting 450 titles that have notched up well over a billion hours of play, but it could do with a crown jewel. The service has seen its share of critical darlings, from Superhot to Inside, but many of its best games are multiplatform, and many of its "exclusives" appear on PCs as well - part of a much-vaunted push towards device agnosticism that often feels like it's more in the service of Windows 10 than Xbox.
No Man's Sky on Nintendo Switch 2 offers a major leap in graphics and performance over the original release.
"No Man's Sky - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition brings this excellent, constantly evolving space survival adventure to your new Nintendo console in fine style. This is an almost-perfect match for other versions of the game, barring some very minor hiccups here and there.
Combat is still a bit naff, especially in space, and hardcore pirates might not get all they need from the systems in place here, but other than that, this is an almost perfect port of an almighty behemoth of a game. The sky, it seems, really has no limits." - PJ O'Reilly | NintendoLife
Hello Games has secretly worked on a Nintendo Switch 2 version of No Man's Sky. But there's also a new juicy update that lets you be a mayor.
That's a nice little surprise.
Honestly I gotta hand it to Hello Games. They really turned this game into something else with their dedication to it. A rocky start, but the game is unrecognizable to what we had at launch.
MAN, Hello Games just keeps on trucking with this game, and are REALLY showing other developers how to earn some good will with their fans.
Stoked for Light No Fire.
Yeah, Xbox doesn't need a No Man's Sky equivalent, it has a better one, Elite Dangerous, which albeit a bit limited is a much better game.... What it needs are good games comparable to Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza 0, Nioh etc. I mean, there has to be a reason why Square Enix/Platinum deicided to release Nier Automata on PC and PS4 and not on Xbox One, and that reason sure as hell is not because of Sony signing a deal to keep it console exclusive, it's because they didn't see a potential in the market.... And from personally playing Nier Automata, I can say that Xbox owners are missing out on a lot. Being a PC gamer, I really feel bad for people who only own an Xbox
So it's an exclusive game if its on PlayStation and PC, but not if its on Xbox and PC? How can you say they need a indie exclusive like No Man's Sky, which was on PC also, and then say MS need exclusives that aren't on PC?
That Astoneer game shows promise.
No ID@Xbox is doing great it don't need a crown especially if it turns out to be something like the mentioned game
