The Switch games announced and released so far are an embarrassing joke. Clearly Nintendo failed to deliver a truly competitive gaming console, and most 3rd party developers are not bothering to support it. Way too little power in the console making it completely unable to compete, already this looks like the Wii U all over again.

Not sure that's entirely true.

I own a Switch and it has been a very lacklustre launch with only one proper AAA title that was also on WiiU and other titles that are either indie and or close too (1-2 Switch & Bomberman R.) There is not a lot in the pipeline from 3rd parties and 1st Party AAA are in reality remasters.

I think people have genuine reason to be concerned because the Switch as a piece of hardware is a good concept.

Not taking much stock in this. Nintendo will always have a special place in my heart, but nowadays their consoles just aren't up to par. This will sell just as well as the wii and wii u, but no one will really pay attention after awhile.

The switch still struggles with many of the same mistakes made by the wiiu being overpriced, underpowered, lying about 3rd party support... and now because the switch went cartridges (which many nintendo fanboys shouted was the smartest move) their games are 10-30$ more expensive when its 3rd partys AND those same games run weaker than say the same game on the standard ps4 or xb1... Why would a gamer want to pay more for a console and game when they can pay less and have a superior product? For mario kart, zelda, ssb, xenoblade, splatoon, and mario odyysey?? Pass...

This system has fail written all over it.

So the system launched, it has nothing to sustain momentum, so it will tank in sales.
Waiting until E3 makes no sense when there are numerous major games that could be released on Switch, visible on store shelves to keep sales momentum up over the system's first quarter.

Once early adopters are satisfied the potential 1st quarter sales will drop well below what they could have been because there are no games that will interest those consumers.
Consoles have announcement conferences and Switch was no different, hell Sony and Microsoft didn't wait until E3 2013 to announce that COD, Battlefield, etc were coming to their new devices, Rockstar don't use E3 to reveal their new games, Bungie didn't wait for E3 to announce either Destiny 1 or 2.

Switch needs major games to sustain it's sales go into E3, waiting and not trying to push the platform with a strong library of quickly growing big games is utter lunacy.

The lineup for Switch is not anyway solid right now, there aren't any major AAA 3rd party games available on the system within that first month (or the first 6 for that matter), there are also no major 1st or 2nd party Nintendo AAA exclusives that you can't already buy on Wii U in that time either.

The reality is that Switch is reliant on one major Nintendo exclusive, along with a few single A level release games, a few minor 3rd party casual games and a bunch of indies.
That cannot be argued as a solid 1st month of games for a dedicated games system, it's the worst Nintendo launch library in a long time, Wii U at least had a few real exclusives, a bunch of major AAA 3rd party games, along with a load of smaller stuff.

The lack of 3rd party and not even a smattering of real exclusives to the system is going to hurt Switch in the run-up to E3.

You obviously don't.
E3 isn't happening until 3 months after Switch's launch, so even though the system was released onto the market it has no major exclusives or 3rd party (regardless of which region those games are intended to appeal to) for all of that time.

3 months with nothing major and last I checked video game publishers can announce copies of their games at anytime they choose now.
There have been umpteen major game releases since 2013, if Switch was going to get any of them when it matters Nintendo and co would have announced them by now.

Having nothing exclusive or major in the way of 3rd party over this time means there's nothing to keep sales momentum going into E3.

I got the Switch at launch. I do not dock the system for gaming on my TV. However, the system is great for travel and playing in bed when someone is sleeping next to you. It is true the games are limited right now but people will continue to buy the system as they see it more and more in the wild, I do not think Nintendo should have pushed the console message. It is a great handheld that can be docked. It is also a perfect second system for gaming.

If you are a TV only gamer then the system may not be for you now. However, if you travel, you need to get it. The Switch puts mobile phone gaming to shame.
