This is the Switch's big problem. The "easy porting" theory just isn't true.

Yes it is, its why we are seeing strong support from indies already at launch after one of the most successful console from Nintendo.

It's performance wise

Many sacrifices will have to be made in order for it to release on the Switch.

Istolla2603d ago

Well at least they're making something for the Switch.

Hardiman2603d ago (Edited 2603d ago )

Why would anyone buy a third party game on the Switch which is also available on PS4 or Xbone? Case in point is Skyrim. Now I haven't got the remastered version yet but when I do it'll be for the Pro not the Switch.

XbladeTeddy2603d ago

Because of the portability has its appeal.

Hardiman2603d ago

There are a lot of folks who could care less about portability. I would've taken a Nintendo system on par with the PS4 myself.

Easy to develop for and all this garbage is good and true, but only for 1st party.
Switch has now 2 generation gaps to ps pro (in theory).
You cannot develop or port games to a very powerless console.

EddieNX 2603d ago

2 generation gaps? Switch is a tablet and the Ps4 pro is a large home console so your comparison holds no weight what so ever. You can't compare the 2015 mobile Tegra chip to whatever is inside ps4 pro, the comparison just isn't there.

Hardiman2603d ago

Sure you can Skyrim is on both consoles and if I'm a consumer I'm going with the better version and they aren't priced like they are so different the Switch is only a hundred dollars less than a Pro.

The market for games like this is too over saturated to make a dent in other established games' player counts. Trying to start all over with a whole new multiplayer meta and grinding to get better is not feasible when there's already a ton of similar games that have come out before it.
