Josh from BagoGames says, "Blaster Master was an extremely popular NES game in North America. Inti Creates bought the rights and has brought Blaster Master Zero to Switch & 3DS."
PS4 users will finally be able to enjoy both Blaster Master Zero and Blaster Master Zero 2 soon as announced today by Inti Creates.
A physical edition is also coming for Nintendo Switch as well.
Wish this got a Vita port, still stoked to grab this, it was one of my top reasons for wanting a switch.
I mean if you're going the handheld route wouldn't you want it on the bigger screen with better resolutions? Why would you want it on the Vita if you own a Switch?
I WANT to own. Switch, in fact i own a few switch games. It's just a combination of not have the $$ at the moment, and a paranoia around getting Joycon drift that has kept me from getting one by now.i'm kinda holding out in hopes they do SOMETHING about that.
@isarai - ahh my bad, misread your comment. Yeah I mean I have a launch Switch with an extra pair of joycons. Both are fine, so I guess your mileage will vary. Nintendo has said they will replace any free of charge, so there's always that backup too.
Man, I still remember playing the original Blaster Master. Reminded me alot of playing OG Metroid. I really enjoyed exploring the world by vehicle, then hoping out on foot and still having those classic boss battles. Unlocking new abilities and being able to revisit old areas and finally being able to access them. Games like this is what made me fall in love with gaming as a kid.
I had to use a game genie cheat in order to finally beat the original. Stayed up all night. I never would have beat it without infinite lives.
Two awesome games. Hope they announce a 3rd entry soon. I liked where 2 was going and what to see what they come up with next.
Inti Creates has a lot going on these days. Between Gunvolt, Blaster Master Zero, and Dragon Marked for Death, in a way there’s something for everyone.
Limited Run Gamesr announced a physical run of the Inti Creates developed action platformer Blaster Master Zero on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
A much overlooked game this month. Sure, it pales stood next to the AAA masterpiece that is ABOTW, but judged on its own merits, a highly recommend game for players of all ages and backgrounds.
I downloaded it day one. I recommend it to anyone who likes classic Metroid/Castlevania games. I played the original NES game so Blaster Master Zero took me back.
